First, it was BfA.
Next, Diablo: Chinese Mobile Edition
..and now they're already tampering with the vanilla formula.
Activision finally killed off any soul that was left inside Blizzard.

Oh shut up.
BFA is actually looking better with Nazjatar on the horizon. I have hopes they can salvage the initial screwup.
Diablo will be fine, great even. Its a full fledged game, just in your pocket instead. Have you looked at the specs of you phone lately? It can handle full 3D games with ease.
Classic will be better than vanilla. A couple changes won't keep me or you away from it.
Also have you seen WC3 remastered? It looks beautiful.
TL;DR: Blizzcon2018 was great, stop hearing what you want to hear.

Oh hail our brave WhiteKnight!
Sad time now?
It was sad back in 2012. SC2 was a bleh. Diablo 3 was garbage, Cata was a dumpster fire.

I’m not very keen on the idea of Diablo on mobile. However, I will at least try it, though I don’t have high hopes.

If trying to find a shred of positivity in this world of negativity makes me a white knight, then so be it.
"We require more gold!", cried Blizzard as they plunged the sacrificial dagger into the lump of flesh that was their own creations.
A dense, choking fog surrounded the ritual. A dark figure with dimly glowing eyes faded into sight.
"You have s-s-summoned me, for what?", the figure hissed and moaned.
"W..we require gold...", said Blizzard as they clamored to each other in fear.
"Gold?..." asked the figure. "I will provide as much gold as you require for a price."
"Anything!" , said Blizzard hesitantly.
The figure smiled a twisted and unnerving smile... "Very well."
It raised a bloodsoaked stump of an arm as fire spewed from it, forming a clawed hand. It opened its palm and pointed it at Blizzard.
"What have we done? Who did we just bargain with?" , Blizzard asked as their bodies slumped over drained of life until only skeletons remained.
"Activision..." , snarled the figure as the fog dissipated. With it, the figure and its new servants vanished.

Can we just talk about Classic here and leave the Diablo whining to GD?
Lagspike was that post some sort of April fools joke? Diablo mobile haha...literally a reskinned chinese game. BFA is hated by the current WoW playerbase and WoW subs are supposedly at 1.7 million. WoW Classic cannot be better than Vanilla and the simple reason why is because Blizzard is not going for the full experience, my expectations were damaged from what I've seen so far.
Remastered WC3 hmmm I wonder what is going to go wrong with that? Guess we will wait and see!

Sky is falling syndrome. While I am not excited about the Diablo news it does not mean the game will be trash. BfA is not hated by everyone and Classic will be fine.11/04/2018 09:13 AMPosted by LightningFirst, it was BfA.

My guess is it will be 99% faithful to the original but there will be a few minor changes in there that don't affect gameplay in a significant way. But the WC3 fanbase will riot over those changes. Sound familiar?
Start up your own company, preferably an entertainment/art focused one, and after 5-10 years, revisit this post and see if your views have changed.

I wonder sometimes if these super big corporate ceo types ever look in the mirror and question if what they're doing is right. I don't mean success is bad, either. I mean greed.
Like "my company is killing the (whatever) industry/ planet/ people/ economy/ ect., do I care that I'm in charge of this?"
I'm sure being wealthy is a pretty good time, but how much moral baggage comes with some of it?
It's been this way every since they sold out to Activision. That's when things like store mounts, race change, faction change, and other paid services started creeping into WoW.

Most people who have a conscience don't make it that far.
If they do, they end up giving much of it back (like bill gates).
My company president founded our company in 1986. We make $300 million a year. He drives a 2008 Toyota and wears jeans and a button up shirt every day.
In 2008, we did not lay off a single employee, despite sales being down 40% due to the recession. Our president decided not to take a salary that year.
People like him are incredibly rare. Most corporate types I have met are too self-absorbed to ever care about how they might be hurting the community/world around them.

From the looks of it the only thing thats going to ruin the Classic wow experience will be the community.
There was a sense of belonging with classic wow, that has delved into what we now have as toxicity. And if you say anything positive you are a white knight? LOL, why?
I've seen thread after thread arguing about what Blizzard is doing, and yet I see no one praising them for actually listening to the community in making Classic! They didn't have to do this you know, but they did it to make us happy and its no where near done. Closer to summer or whenever they allow us to test the waters then complain.
Why must we be up in arms at Blizz and at each others throats? If you guys are attacking each other now, how well will that bode in the actual game? If we can't get along and cooperate in the forums how well will we do trying to work together to defeat bosses and such?

I do feel like it's mostly because this is a lot of people's last chance for Blizzard. They're very passionate about Vanilla WoW and want it to be accurate to the time (at least mostly). So when they have things like sharding in the demo, it's not something they want.
Now, here's where it gets 'toxic'... You've got people who have been burned before by giving feedback in a way like "hey Blizz I don't like this feature you added" in a not bad way very civil and being ignored. When Blizzard basically says to these people "your opinion does not matter to us", it causes some hostility.
The people now have an opportunity to get back a version that doesn't have the junk they don't like. This time, they're raising hell because their voice must have been too quiet before.
Add to this high tension environment retail trolls who mess with a passion of someone or some group of someone's... There's your hostility, anger, and fighting. Not to mention, you have different amounts of purist like "preserve the feel", along with "just preserve vanilla timeline", to "just port over pservers".
It's a pretty tense time for a lot of people here. Don't jump to labelling all classic enthusiasm as toxic just yet. We have the bad apples just like retail, but mostly good people just like retail.
