Wow is still the top mmo with the highest player base by ALOT.
Go look at ff14 on steam, it has 15k players . (im sure there is more on console and the ff14 launcher, but still 15k on steam is trash tier mmo numbers)
When wow first came out the internet was new, we were on dial up internet, just seeing another person to talk too was something special. That’s why it was so popular back then.
Game design wise retail is the best it’s ever been and this is the best expansion for pvp by far. Low participation in 3v3? NEWS FLASH, 3v3 has always been dead. yall act like you weren’t sitting in LFG for hours trying to find ppl.
The disney theme of DF is what is keeping DF numbers low. no one wants to play a how to train your dragon the mmo game. When we got the lich king and sylvannas fighting in the cinematic that will 100% draw more players in.
Thats true, but I have not seen any real competition yet. New World stinks on day one, Albion is weird, and all the final fantasy style games are too Anime-ish lol. And Diablo 4 was the Guinness world record Largest Poo ever recorded lol.
I hope Microsoft cleans house, and cleans up some of Blizzards Corruption… And makes the game better, open it back up to attract and retain new gamers, reduce the game BLOAT… Reduce the barrier to entry into wow, content makers like Venruki said it best in his video.
How many crappy games have been made of the backs of sub paying wow players? An older player base of loyal die hard fans, without them this game would have joined runescale, everquest, and star wars galaxies long ago lol.
Diablo 4 was a good example of a predatory company duping millions of people to buy an unfinished product. 90% of the player base quits the game a month in.
Yeah, I know this place is pretty troll-central, but it’s really pathetic that X people had to go home today and tell their families that their ability to eat in the near future isn’t a certainty while a bunch of immature, nerds celebrate it because their cartoon characters aren’t getting optimum conditions.
