Might be bad wording on my part. Embarrassingly, I forgot all about tauren. They’re just so milquetoast. So I guess my complaint’s not really solid.
But as for whether or not I’d think of vulpera, nope. They’re not feral; they’re just furry.

Sabre Kittys will try to eat all the Vulpera & Gnomes.
They are all part of the Canidae family (wolves, domestics dogs, foxes, coyotes, and jackals). Or that is what wiki and live science says.
Hoping to rez this post as they haven’t reused the undead or worgen rigs and it would be nice to add in something new shortly after cross faction guilds coming out. Hopefully included with changes to that system making things more accessible, such as trading outside instances and queuing though lfg/lfr. Saberons canonically joining the horde makes sense. As pointed out they have been living in the northern barrens for years now likely eating all the pig men (quillboar) they come across, easily strengthened ties with the tauren, made peace with the orcs as well as trading with the goblins in ratchet. It also gives Calia and the naaru time to create “lightforged” undead and/or welcome any forsaken who wanted to rejoin their families in the alliance. This is the perfect time to introduce them in a minor patch giving us a bit of an update on what’s going on outside of the main story. Since we have exile’s reach they don’t need their own starting zone or anything more than maybe moving/adding/changing a few unnamed NPC around and putting a “leader” in org and SW
There is a saberon threat if you want support them as allied race. I think Arakkoa from Draenor (WoD) should be a better choice for the Alliance than “lightforged” undead.
