I’m not sure how you can think citizens of heaven/hell/purgatory would make sense as an allied race but saberon wouldn’t. The souls in the Shadowlands had their shot at life, I don’t think they’re going to get a second one.
I get it that the Saberon population is small but like I’ve pointed out, that’s never stopped Blizzard before. And there is a good reason for them to join the Horde: they’re on an alien planet and they need help.
Anyways, I guess we’ll have to just agree to disagree.
for the mag’har we only see a handful teleport out with Eitrigg but in faction assaults like the stormsong one there’s a massive army of them of various clans, even some gronn so i think having some saberon survive and join the remaining mag’har on azeroth is plausible
The Horde got the Mag’har from Outland, and a new race using an existing race’s skeleton with the Vulpera. Let the Alliance have the same with the Saberon. We can go there to recruit Yrel and then save the Saberon. If Leorajh’s enlightenment caught on, they’d make a great addition to the Alliance.
No way. Not with the Orc’s track records of killing them. Heck, one of the Mag’har Clan even hunts them down for their hearts as reagents.
They should be Alliance. They use the Worgen model, and the only model swapping we’ve had has been the elves and there’s been more than enough uproar over that. The Alliance should get something from Draenor, and unfortunately, we’ve got MU Lightforged, so Lightforged Draenei led by Yrel are already off the table.
Sure, if they’re on our side they can forgive. The whole Horde motif is vengeance, while the Alliance’s is forgiveness. If they joined the Horde they’d have to fight it to kill the Orcs.
Would you like the Wildhammer Dwarves while you’re at it?
Same thing if they’re on the Alliance. You’ve already got dogs; the Vulpera. It’s time for the Alliance to get another Beastman race, and the Saberon are the best option.
Saberon would love us (us = taurens.) We’re not all about vengeance. Plus like I said, they’re in the Northern Barrens some where. The taurens will find them first.
Why would I? They’re dwarves, I’m a tauren. Not meant to be.
Huh I don’t think foxes are dogs or even in the same family.
They fled in a northerly direction, which could be Ashenvale. Me thinks your Tauren are doomed on that front. Night Elves would be more likely to find them, if that’s really the group that becomes an Allied Race. Heck, with Ashamane coming back, I could see the ancient taking them under wing, and that’d give them an even stronger connection to the Alliance through the Night Elves. The Night Elves can certainly use more staunch allies as well.
I’m not expecting horde saberon to ever be a thing (pretty sure the allied race model swap was only because of high elf requests and elves in general being so damn popular) but I’d be highly disappointed to see them go alliance.
Ironic as this will be coming from an elf, the Alliance really has too many human races as is. The Saberon would be a great addition to diversify it on that point alone. Even in Shadowlands our most likely Allied Race would be Kyrians who are just blue humans (not that I’m complaining, they’d fit in well). I’d hope we’d also get Night Fae. More Night Elf allies, and another non-human race to further break up the mold.
I know, but it still seems incredibly meh to me. I’m aware this is entirely subjective, but I feel like the alliance already got the coolest monster aesthetic race option with the worgen and even if it makes more mechanical sense due to saberon being based off of them, I’d feel super let down for them to get a second quasi-feral race before the horde gets its first one.
I’m not sure what you mean by, “Quasi-Feral.” The Tauren and Vulpera don’t fulfill that? Or is it more of a cultural thing?
If it were up to me I’d rather get Saberon from AU Draenor that had become more civilized by the Draenei and thanks to Leorajh. I’d love to play a Saberon tiger Paladin!
