Saberon as a potential Allied Race

I’m talking lore, not gameplay.

Well, they have to have females some where. Unlike dwarves I doubt saberon spring out of holes in the ground. :stuck_out_tongue:

we are the horde, we just take all. Alliance is a dying faction anyways.

It’d probably be our access to the worgen model, they acted off the worgen model in Draenor.

Also, they’re a solid candidate for an allied race based on their model. since the thing about allied races is having a model to base them around so they’re low impact on development.

The problem with Saberon and the Horde is that the Laughing Skull Clan of AU Draenor, part of the Horde now, actively collected Saberon hearts to use as a reagent for different purposes. This is the quest in-game that shows it:

It’s a reason I lean towards Saberon being Alliance, but regardless, I’d love to see them playable still. :cat:

We don’t take that as a “No”. Blizz have to be stupid not to add at least two ARs before Shadowlands. It would drive their pre-orders up if we get the two most wanted allied races. Alliance get Saberons, and the Horde get Vrykuls. Then post Shadowlands, we get two more. Night Fae for Alliance and Venthyr for Horde.

You can be silly and want them to do that all you want but I don’t want them sinking any time and effort into an Allied race right now I’d rather they focus all their efforts on the expansion.

But if you want a crappy expansion and some new Allied races then power to you

Where does it say that? I see nothing about that clan joining the Horde.

And some tattoos for Mag’har isn’t proof.

Talk to the mag’har in Valley of Honor. They talk about flaying and have Laughing Skull in the name.

I can’t find them.

(Observation): You have foxes. We can have cats. It’s only fair.

who said this should be worked on before shadowlands? and just sayin’ Shadowlands needs something other than raids in it’s content patches.

I was incorrect about the name part. However there are mag’har with the Laughing Skull skin color, with the Laughing Skull unique masks, and some do talk about flaying, which was a practice only done by Laughing Skull.

Yes, I see the Limbflayers but I don’t see that as proof that the entire clan joined the Horde.

Then there’s no proof of any clan joining the Horde entirely. If they have the skin color of a clan, the dress of a clan, and talk about commiting a practice only done by one clan, it’s safe to say they’re from that clan.

As much as I would like it, I doubt it. There are already many animalistic races in the game, and they sure don’t want this game to be a Bloody Roar imitation.

You also see a Laughing Skull orc send you back to Zandalar from Drustvar in the Horde war campaign.

The thing about the Mag’har Orcs is that all the AU Orc clans banded together against Yrel and the AU Draenei and came with you back to Azeroth. It’s why they have customization options of the various clans, which includes Laughing Skull Orc clan members. I really don’t see that sitting well with Saberon having members that hunted them for their hearts.

Just my opinion, of course.

fine but we get the bird people of dreanor then

(Commentary): I have no complaints with this arrangement. Between their sun reverence and the fact the Zandalari Moonkin Form already uses their model, the Horde seems like the proper place for them anyways.

Both the Alliance and Horde killed them and took their claws. If they’re going to have a problem with the Horde for that, they’ll have a problem with the Alliance too.
