yup, it would have helped a lot.
also they should have made sure the rep vendor gear also stayed updated as well. Like make S2 at this point the rep gear for the ultra new players and alts.
In before the clowns thinking they need a gear advantage in PvP to shine… You shine because you are good, know your class, the other classes and the meta and make good plays and communicate and position well. Gear is so meaningless in this game; ite nice to have but its not why I play.

No the argument makes perfect sense. If you are truly better you don’t need an extra advantage.
It’s pvp. No one should be at an artifical disadvantage in gear just to stroke people’s egos. Prove you are actually better without just because you have the best item.
I made all the rating requirements to get all the gear too. I used to sell carries.
I was never a glad but I never had an issue on multiple classes carrying people to their gear or for my own.
But it was still BS when we went into a BG and went like 65 or 70 and 0 against scrub geared new players.
And there was really no reason for it.
I came to the reality for myself I just couldn’t play the way I wanted to enjoy the game this time.
All of the people earning this stuff it’s not the first time or even the same. It’s a replay of a old version.
Why be less inclusive? People will never remember anyone who got anything on this version.
I think it was season 4 but the seasons were pretty long.
if 1700 is a big deal for u why do u even need s4 honor gear which is like 3% better than the existing s3 stuff? they’re all low-budget gear slots that hardly affect ur stats compared to the 5set/weps
vast majority of arena teams are just capping points. sub 1500 is like the wild west of alt chars capping points with yolo comps
Any way no one is gonna “start pvping” now in s4, just because blizz removes some 1550 rating req on an honor belt. They had a whole year to pvp, those who enjoy it are playing it, those who just want to pve are doing that. It’s not blizz’s fault the classic playerbase is not interested in pvp.
Coming from pservers to classic was a big shock, no one arenas except to grind gear for pve, no one duels outside org/sw hardly, everyone just wants to parse, buy gold for consooms, and post lawgz
They should at the least remove a rating requirement for the ring, I missed s1 and 2. I resubbed near the end of S3 so I’m basically starting for s4. I have the s3 ring but can’t get anything else from PvP. Maybe I could get something from PvE but I’m a rogue so that’s not happening.

Got my s4 bracers/ring/boots this week. I still think the rating requirements should be removed.
I was actually looking through the recruitment pages for Blizz here in Austin and a good number of the listings specifically ask that you have experience with WOW. Just sayin. 
Annoyingly 75K is not enough for the trinket, bracers, boots and belt. Very annoying.
yeah, i had to turn in a bunch of tokens too even with doing the bg daily’s, since i also got the trinket/neck/belt.
Yeah, I don’t have enough EoS marks for that because I can’t stand doing eos because ost pugs make it miserable
Period. Blizzard has been completely braindead when it comes to arena for the entirety of TBCC. wtf.
This issue of Blizzard being out of touch existed, and was part of the reason i left in phase 1… it doesn’t shock me at all that the same issue still exists.
Also I came back like 4 weeks before s3 ended, and I had no idea that it was ending… they made very little effort to forewarn us, and when i discovered that all the s3 gear was going to be discounted by 60% I was furious that I didn’t have a clue it was happening. If I had known,I would have been grinding out weekly welfare points on all my characters for the weeks leading up to it… cheap t6 level gear? Hell ya that’d get me excited… but Blizzard made almost no effort to even encourage players to start saving up or to make their community aware of this.
There’s resil rings in PvE content that hosts plenty of GDKPs or even soft reserve ones. Go find a raid and get what you want.
They have absolutely butchered PvP in TBCC. They will probably botch it completely again in WOTLK at this rate.
Rating requirements are killing the PvP scene. Arena with gated gear is terrible for participation.
Bring back RBGS already.
