I’m sorry, but last time I checked the vote thread, it didn’t advertise “You get more time to work on season 4 gear!” as an advantage
It said it would bring back a tier set. Folks assumed PVP would also, y’know, be involved in this, the bringing back of a set, so the pvpers could enjoy this fun vote thing.
PVPers got jack from the vote and it may as well have said “NO PVPERS ALLOWED ZONE” on it is what you’re saying
Elite sets have never been brought back before. Why do people assume a practice going back to Wrath involving T2 weapons would suddenly stop with zero statements being made in that direction?
Because it makes no sense. It makes zero sense elite mogs would come back. Blizzard has said repeatedly challenge content and time sensitive rewards like elite mogs and challenge modes are never coming back. Assuming they would because of this was people lining themselves up to be annoyed lol
You’d think if this is their sentiment that blizzard would have chimed in on this thread at some point if they had 0 intention of giving the elite sets.
I think Wowhead assuming things and posting things without clarification is nothing new, and would not take WoWhead’s word for something unless it’s quoted in blue.
If there was a blue post quote going around saying “this applies for elite mogs as well”, we would know. There wasn’t. Assuming there was is the mistake of people, not Blizzard.
“For this class, in Season 4, I would like the look from:”
All blizzard said is i want the look from and pick your season. Why wouldn’t a pvper believe they would look like they did in a previous season. Even if not the elite set the normal set.
I’m a PvP’er. I didn’t think elite mogs would be included because as a PvP’er, I know elite mogs do not come back. I also know as a PvP’er, we are not included in the norm. This is nothing new.
And they also said they wouldn’t make a Classic server because “You think you want it, but you don’t”. Now look at where we’re at. Or like how I’m going to be able to buy a Slimecat in two weeks.
When the vote came through we weren’t even sure if they were going add a whole set of new tints to the old models or just recycle them. They didn’t clarify it wasn’t going to be a thing, and based on the wording, people assumed they would break this rule because, huh, sure looks like they were saying they would
You keep bringing up the voting nonsense. The vote means nothing against years upon years of direct statements saying “Elite mogs will not return”. The vote means nothing. Assuming something so flimsy as a self-admitted lacking clarifications vote would undo years upon years of definitive statements is no one’s fault other than the people who assumed.
This looks like a massive oversight on their part, but since Taivan was invisible for 2-3 weeks when it was released. Perhaps next tuesday we see something about a fix.
Oh boy, here we go with this nonsense again. Classic has nothing to do with this. Stop falling on a dead argument. People assumed, they was wrong, if it was a bug, we would have been told.
As Blizzard has said repeatedly on record, elite mogs do not come back. Stop assuming things.
This is why we’re having this discussion. We had a whole month of people thinking this would come back because a vote came through saying “We’re bringing back older appearances, vote for them!” and nowhere on it did it say “PVPers aren’t included you just get season 3 and can’t join in the PVEers fun lol”
Also, note the definitive, “We have decided not to make these sets available again”. Can we stop with the nonsense now? And as a side note, this conversation happened on these forums.
You had a month of people assuming an old definitive decision (which I have linked) would be overturned without clarification. Again, their fault. No one else’s.
With that though, I’m gonna go ahead and mute this thread. The people who want clarification, I get it. Clarification is good. But assuming the elite mogs would return without some kind of official statement is also silly.
