This season is literally the same as last season, just now with Ele and Aff dominating. It’s actually so ridiculous how both of those classes are tuned at the moment. Ele just does ridiculous levels of damage simply by casting instant casts? But it can also hit multiple targets? If it proccs ascendance then it also hits multiple targets AGAIN for MULTIPLE ticks of damage? Aff lock just casually passively keeps up with Ele damage even when a warrior is training them?
Morale of me whining - am I actually just absolutely awful at this game and should uninstall or do other people also think Ele is just a LITTLE BIT overtuned damagewise (and specifically HOW they get that damage out)?

ele and aff are overtuned but as a mw you should not have much issues with them because of peaceweaver and the healing orb dispel spam
Healing Spheres doesn’t interact well with Flame Shock. Control of Lava proccs even with Healing Sphere dispel. Control of Lava is also randomly bugged in general, it’ll procc multiple times on a single dispel as well.
Lol if you think ele dmg is overtuned compared to aff lock your cooked. Damage is nice though that’s for sure, feel like a S2 Ret/War.
Here’s the thing, Aff lock damage at least makes sense. It’s not a guessing game of, “Oh is he gonna procc now when someone’s at 70% and one shot them? Or is he gonna procc when we’re all 100% and drop us all to 30% randomly”. Also, if I play Spheres into Aff lock I can dispel UA with no problem. If I play Spheres into Ele I get Control of Lava knocked up (which, depending on the timing if I get REALLY unlucky can actually kill someone since MW actually has to cast). And the fact that you realize that it’s comparable to Ret/Warr and think that it’s okay for a CASTER to have that kind of damage ON DEMAND is insane.

You know ele has been below the S tier all expac my guy? let them have some fun in the sun for S4. Everyones had it outside of MW Ele and Argueably MM. All of which are doing extremely well this season.
If your dying to a ele as mw your probably not sitting far enough back. Can pve heal through them out of shear range.

The issue isn’t me dying buddy. It’s the fact that everyone’s dying all game long. They can PvE you so effectively it’s not even funny. Even as a MW which is probably the best healer into Ele (you can make a case that RSham might be better cause tier set and Chain Heal dispel) I just eventually oom to an Ele without them doing anything special. I don’t get sheared by Ele shams, I just oom to them.
This is the same argument from the start of Shadowlands when Ret was (and still, to an extent, is) so ridiculously insane that they’d just one shot you from 15 yds away with a press of a button. Like, yeah sure they should get some time in the spotlight… but why can’t they be good without being ridiculous? Like, if MW randomly got changes/buffs tomorrow that made them the most insanely ridiculous healer and people complained about it, I wouldn’t sit here and be like, “Ya dude MW’s been awful since S3 of BFA, so we need this”.

Ele isn’t remotely close to Ret S1-2 lol. Or Fire mage S1-3. S2 SP. S1-2 Warrior Arms. Unholy DK S3, Destro pre nerf S3, Demo Lock pre multiple nerfs. Rogue all of SL. You know my list could go infinite of more blatant “strong specs” this expansion.

Brother it isn’t a guessing game if ele is going to bang you either. Ele has 2-3 empty GCDs before they actually dam do.
If you see the ele press prim wave + echoing shock that’s when he’s going to bang you.
Press your group dispel after echoing shock and congrats you have neutered all of ele shamans burst.
You’re legit just not dispelling flame shock enough and are super scared of 9k dam on dispel
This and talking about aff keeping up with ele just paints a picture that your just don’t understand ele values.
The ascendance proc is literally just a lava burst and a chance of an overload.
So everyone randomly gets hit for 9-15k that’s literally it.
If everyone is dropping to 30% it means everyone has flame shock on them and in LoS during a primordial echo go alongside skyfury and more than likely a double Asc proc and or a pwave reset.
My lvb avg is 7.5k to give you a frame of reference. High end is 13k during trinkets/racial + skyfury
If everyone is getting aoe’d for 70,000 you do the math

What comp are you playing and who are you training
Ik spheres is bugged but I think you still need to play it and then try to dispel on echoing shock when possible
If the lock gets soulrot off and you don’t have revival I think your team needs to line for the entire duration
Mw aoe heals don’t seem that great
Also lol@people who don’t think eles dmg profile with tier+lego isn’t disgusting
No one said it isn’t disgusting just even then it doesn’t compare to aff and control of lava isn’t scary
