I heard some rumours around the office today that RDF is coming very soon and potentially will be sprung on us after maint* this week…

If so, we can spam heroics endlessly to gear our alts.
I’ll be doing that if it happens.
I expect Heroic+ to work like RDF works, and how Mythic+ works such that you can endlessly spam dungeons.

That would be nice. I just used the super amazing social experience LFG tool to look for a Heroic Violet Hold group. Get invited, and chat a bit while waiting for the group to form. The party leader says he actually meant to make a Nexus group, and that’s okay, right? Well, no, it’s not. I queued for VH and not Nexus because I’m already saved to Nexus. Now I’m waiting again.
As for the social experience. I decided to try and break the mold the other day. Get in a group, I’m near it for summoning purposes. Someone else gets invited, all he says is “summon.” Another person gets invited, group is now full, “summon.” Alliance at the stone aren’t playing nice, so I go inside to wait for others to show up. I joke “if you want a summon you have to tell us something interesting about yourself.” Someone lol’s, another says they are almost there, the other two are silent. Couple of minutes later all they say is “summon” again.
WOW! What a social experience! This is how it is 99% of the time.

This is all the time. I started kicking people for that. People get in my groups and the first thing they say is " summon", “123”, “hi 123”, etc. These are the same ones on the forums saying " I play just fine while forming groups". I don’t mind summoning, and if I make the group, I’m at the stone as expected… but don’t come in my group and say “summon”, ain’t happening.

We can only hope so that way we can get dungeons done without the pain and agony of the LFG experience. Would be amazing to just Que and be able to do dungeons especially for people with busy schedules.
When you do get in a group now they ask what are you rolling on? Lets kick this guy cause he wants what I want. Lets get another Dps now but no plate. Lets get a ranged but no caster cause I need this staff. Takes 30 mins to start a run after all that cause doing a dungeon now is a negotiation in gear.
I get done doing 1 dungeon and I’m exhausted. Not having RDF is just painful.
RDF is the wheel, it’s perfectly designed and nothing is better than it. The game won’t be good or WotLK till RDF is added.

If RDF gets added it will be a great money maker for me, I’ll be need rolling on everything that drops regardless if someone else needs it. Don’t like that? Oh well you can kick me but enjoy waiting another 40 minutes for a healer

It’s the epitome of narcissistic game design to honestly think that you’re going to socially engineer player’s negative behaviors out of the game with tool X rather than tool Y. Crappy people are still going to behave crappy regardless of the tools you put in front of them. This is SO immediately obvious to most people that we’re over here eating popcorn and laughing…

I wish this was true but Brian Birmingham staked his job on RDF being the “problem” with community and it will never be implemented. He would be admitting he made a mistake.

Well unfortunately for you DPS I am that important. Without me you cannot do the dungeon, so why should I not be entitled to roll on every item that drops? Are you gatekeeping me out of rolling on items to sell for gold?
