nice move and feedback blizzard, i love the FREE transfer character if you die, HC realm will be a blast always in the early leveling zones 1-40. If you want to level in ERA you can just play hardcore and keep leveling in ERA realms after you die. Amazing, thanks.

Nor do I think addons that are actually helpful, cheating.
Like Questie. I just want a better UI for a 2004 game.

June 29th

This needs to be brought to retail where everyone wants it.

nobody dies in retail

This is retail forums, why is this here?

No one dies leveling in retail though.

Interesting they chose to not include that in the official post. Thanks for finding it

true hardcore would be no gear , level naked

Yeah honestly I’m not really worked up about grouping or trading in HC as a concept to the game. While HC is primarily about this incredible challenge I think it can turn into more than just trying to make the game as difficult as possible. The idea that the game can just be a 1 life version with a decent ecosystem is a nice thought, it’s just a question of how hard people try to abuse it like original Classic has been due to knowing how everything works.

Additional restrictions may need to exist though. Players will create pack mules to send over valuable items they find. 60s will farm black lotus, BoEs, etc, and send over to their level 1 bank alt. It would probably be beneficial to also restrict what items you can hold based on level such so that level 1s can’t hold black lotus or gold ore or runecloth,e tc.

Are players able to group up or trade in the Hardcore Realm? That is the aspect of HC that ruffles my jimmies the most.

to it’s max is the answer. this is why I predict that official will become a gold buying haven and we all know that blizzard is more likely to add a token than ban bots at this point.

yes but there are restrictions to discourage things like getting a high level character to boost low level characters through dungeons and such

Probably because otherwise a lot of end-game content would just be paladins?

I am fine with boosting restrictions, all realms should have had that from the start.

Im persionally not engaging in this, but glad to see you didnt use “ironman mode” rules created by that stupid addon as a rule for hardcore. Imagine notbeing able to use auction house/trade with players, et because some players think thats “hardcore”.

Ive very much thought about this. Unlikely they’ll have any appeal process.

Will Blizzard have extra support for shtuff like this? 1 in a billion chance.

Any restrictions on grouping? Didn’t read anything about duo/fives.

But farming mats and gear on a higher lvl for your low level toon makes it hardcore? Go back to Retail
