RP Servers

Anyone have any advice as to which are the best RP servers per faction?

…Well.

Moon Guard for Alliance (Despite it having GS, there are a lot of Alliance RP’ers to go around in SWC)

Wyrmrest Accord for Horde.

My advice… look through the real forums for the RP servers… see how active they are and what kind of RP people are advertising.

I actually flipped it - My Horde are on MG and my Alliance on WRA…

Plenty of Alliance RP on WRA, a lot less ERP. Stormwind and Boralis are pretty active and there is a big Night Elf Community. Some large-ish cross faction events pop-up from time to time as well.

Not as active on my Horde lately, but there are RP guilds out there. Might just take some asking around.

Argent Dawn/Scryers was pretty dead in my experience. Emerald Dream too.

Moonguard for Alliance RP. Horde side is dead though.
WRA is good for Horde, and has a decent Alliance side as well.

Those are the two big ones.

Any idea who would happen to have a Nightborne community?

Generally WrA has a community for every horde-side race.

How come no one ever mentions Scarlet Crusade? Seriously, I am the only one that ever mentions this server. I guess my server just is junk then.

How is Scarlet Crusade?

This makes me happy, I sorta wanna try getting in to it and wasn’t sure were to go.

I know Emerald Dream has good PvPRP there but everyone in that server is really stuck in their on clique and won’t interact with anyone outside of it or even guildless folk.

Aside from that I don’t really know much about the other RP servers.

These are a bit dated, but it seems like a place to start - they both mention a Nightborne discord server…

From a quick search on the WRA forum… <Agents of Suramar> Nightborne RP Guild - #59 by Iravis-wyrmrest-accord

From a quick search on the MG forum… Nightborne guild or community?

Generally if you’re just going for population then it’s Moon Guard for Alliance and Wyrmrest Accord for Horde, however I am a big, big proponent in trying to grow horde Moon Guard as there is a somewhat sizeable community of people there, although it’s not the biggest. And I’m also an MGer at heart.

WRA. That’s your best bet. It’s worth noting that Horde side on WRA is very guild related involving RP. Walk-ups happen, but they’re not gonna lead you to what you’re hoping for.

Check your server forums and keep an eye out for Nightborne guilds recruiting. There’s a couple.

You are a saint!
Thank you! I honestly have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to rp related stuff.

This is really great of you!
There aren’t really any balanced horde/alliance servers are there?

Walk ups would be a ton of fun, not going to lie.
I just wanna experiment and see if it is something I can get in to.

Thank you guys so much for being so supportive. >w< <3

I often RP on WRA and MG. If you’re looking to get into RP, my lady and I love helping new RP’ers and teaching. Feel free to add me. Shad#1132

WRA is more balanced, but I’m just not a fan of how most of their RP is contained mostly in guilds.

For RP Wra is closest to balanced I guess.

Join the Lost Codex’s Discord channel. There’s a ton of RP’ers there and super friendly. They’ve generally got good tips.

If you don’t know how to RP, avoid WrA until you do. The community is a stickler for RP protocol. Try cutting your teeth on Forum RP before you do ingame. Look into wikis, draft profiles and post them online, learn about RP addons, etc. I would suggest starting with RP writing prompts in the World’s End Tavern subforum.

To be fair, WRA is understanding if someone just uses their OOC information to inform people they’re new. While all of that information is fine and dandy, they can also ask in this thread about such information. If they do, they’ll learn much.

Asking about RP and honing it are two different experiences. You need to learn how to take direction, understand situational cues and, depending on interactivity, improv. It’s best to do Forum RP first because you can edit, tweak and improve posts. You can look back on certain posts and learn to remember details. Ingame RP, you can’t always review your RP if the chat box filled. If you misspoke about something, it’s difficult to correct later. Learning RP in a smaller environment can help more than just being told what to do.
