I get servers are to be connected with one another, but I thought RP servers were “connected”/“layered” with other RP servers? I noticed other players from non-RP realms walking around SW.
Or, is it possible, someone from the RP realm invited them over? Not sure how all this works…
Invited over, sharded together, etc. Nothing wrong with it. RP realms aren’t “connected” with non-RP realms, but that doesn’t mean they’re disconnected from everything else when it comes to shards.

No, I get it. Just took me by surprise 'cause of the weird name that doesn’t abide by RP naming policies. But, if they’re not playing on a RP server, they don’t have to abide by it.
That’s all. OK, thanks for clearing that up.

They would be invited over.
Sharding breaks one realm/connected realms into smaller groups.
CRZ would join realms. RP realms only CRZ with other RP realms.

Yeah…someone from an RP realm would have to invite someone from a non-RP realm into a group (which could only be done as a real ID/battletag friend). I do not know how the game determines which shard they would be in. Realistically it might be better if there are any non-RP server people, to shard them into a non-RP realm. But that’s a suggestion for another place.

Unfortunately this does happen often when other realms want to come and visit RP realms to see if they’re really like how folks portray them to be, or just to blatantly troll the local populace.
They could also be forming groups for Mythics, carries of any variety, or just because their friends main on a RP realm. I’ve seen all of the above on both Moon Guard and Wyrmrest Accord, as they are the most populated of the RP realms, and yeah. Most everyone who has played WoW for any length of time or who follows streamers knows about Moon Guard’s poor reputation for things. It especially attracts the “tourists” to come and check it out
