I have a couple Horde toons on the RP-PVP server. I went to put an Alliance character on the RP server and it popped up that I can’t have an Alliance character on the same server as a Horde character on a PVP server. It then loaded in my RP-PVP characters on the character selection screen. Above the characters it said Roleplay (not Roleplay PVP).
I went and double checked the RP-PVP rule set and my toons where their with Roleplay PVP above them on the character select.
I then went back to the RP rule set. It automatically took me into character creation like last time. Instead this time I clicked back to enter the character select screen. When I did this, the character select was empty (as it should be). I then selected Create Character. It opened the character creator and when I tried to save the character, it repeated the same error as before and loaded my RP-PVP characters on the Roleplay character select menu.
I am having this same issue. Trying to create a horde pvp character was previously saying faction imbalance error, but now it’s just creating my characters in rp-pvp. No error, just creating character under a different ruleset.
A large portion of players are trying to organize with guilds, what does Blizzard expect us to do? We have decided that we want to play horde pvp… most people were able to reserve their name, but some are not. So… like what is the guidance in this situation?
Same issue here as well, no matter what I do I am stuck on a pvp realm when I am trying to play RP or Normal. I confirm this each time by trying to make an opposing faction character and get the opposing faction on a pvp ruleset error.
Reinstalled the game and same issue, I cannot get to a pve realm under any circumstances
I only realized I was bugged due to some tinkering I decided to do today. There are going to be a lot of unhappy people who realize the game was lying to them and they aren’t on the ruleset they thought when launch happens.
Yea it will literally even show you have your 3 characters on the PVP realm or wherever it is you wanted them. But you go refresh the server selection and they are actually on the wrong realm. I’ve deleted them/recreated them/rebooted/relogged - it just keeps putting them on a realm I don’t want no matter what.
There are definitely issues. I am NA. I made 3 characters on the PvE server. I have decided I’d rather go RP. I deleted my characters from the PvE server. I changed the ruleset to RP. I recreated my 3 characters on the RP server. When I go in to verify, all 3 are back on the PvE ruleset. Nothing on the RP one.
I have many guild members trying to delete on PvE and create on RP. They are experiencing the same bugs. One of them deleted his characters to remake and it told him the RP server (normal, not pvp) wasn’t permitted due to faction imbalance.
Hopefully they get it sorted by launch. I do have a ticket in, no reply.
Edit: Got a reply. Generic one, telling me all about how wonderful character creation is, that we’re limited to 3, the dates of early character creation, etc. I am convinced my ticket wasn’t even read past the title.
Keep bumping threads of this issue, this needs to be fixed because I can’t even check if the faction lock is lifted on the PvP ruleset since it doesn’t give the error and instead creates the character on RPPvP
I just tried again with a Horde character. When I create an RP character it saves them to the PVE server. Changing the rule set to RP still shows a blank character select screen.
