To everyone that keeps showing up to bump this thread or add their thoughts, I love you all and keep it up.
I think for a lot of us, being on an RP-PvP in those earlier years was an incredibly special thing, and speaking for myself, I definitely took it for granted at the time. I think if anything, this thread makes obvious how good of a community these servers had/have/will have and how there definitely is a demand for one!
Please Blizzard, hear us out!

Make one RP-PvP server and have it launch on Day 1 along with all the other Normal, RP and PvP servers.
Before Vanilla launched, the RP-PvP community got together to designate an “unofficial rp-pvp server” since Blizzard wasn’t listening to the clamor of players asking for one (sound familiar?). This server was Bleeding Hollow.
Then Blizzard announced the creation of the RP-PvP server type - part of the community decided to go to the Maelstrom server, part of it went to Emerald Dream, and part decided to stay on Bleeding Hollow, effectively splitting the community in 3.
A split RP-PvP community is terrible for RP-PvP.
This is a mistake that SHOULD NOT BE REPEATED!

Once upon a time on Emerald Dream there was a very active Alliance guild that almost exclusively RPed in Arathi Highlands. There was a similar forsaken guild that strictly RPed in Arathi Highlands. Being able to log in at any time, and play in an open RP/PVP sandbox was some of the most fun I have ever had in my 15 years of playing WoW. Normal RP servers campaigns follow an arch, adding PVP to the equation makes your RP dynamic and makes it feel more rewarding/diminishing

This is literally one of the best RP-PVP scenarios ever! I have my own memories of a time like this. I dream of being able to take part in this again. Logging in each day to see who has been killed, captured, where the front lines have shifted and who the heroes of battles were.

I would think it would be absolutely amazing to have an rp pvp server. I mainly pvp in wow typically and to be honest in the early years of wow I didn’t realize the rp community was so big. I ended up missing out on some real fun back then and now in the present I’d love to get into the community on classic. I’d hate to have to choose rp or pvp. I’d probably end up making two characters at that point and that just seems stressful especially for a launch when I just want to get into the community.

I think you will get your RP-PvP realms, one per region and perhaps three in America for each time zone… sometime after the name save but before launch…
Especially if you guys pick a single server and ALL save names there… They would have to react to that… hopefully… else yall would be boned…
