Then it is flat out lying. Characters are NOT deleted by Blizz.
Things change, my scenario couldâve been a mishap that they gave me BS about to curve my disappointment. Doesnât change the reality of what happened. Iâd gladly copy+paste the ticket if I could see it.
The scenario I provided is completely accurate and unfortunately Blizzard doesnât keep tickets for what appears to be >3 years.
Already done. Jetsum linked Vrakthris confirming they never ever delete characters.
You know those are permanent right and that Vrak or Orly can see them?
Also false.
Your tickets are there
Your account actions are there
Reports that make it to GM level are there
Any account action going back to 2004 is there
Blizzard actually keeps a permanent record or most things. Not the day to day gameplay which eventually ages out - but most everything else.
Thatâs awesome, Iâd be glad to be forwarded that ticket then or even posted here.
One of the characters deleted were Pwnindruid-Khazmodan, which was lvl 20 some back in TBC.
Hell Iâll even make a ticket to retrieve that ticket.
With the insane wait time on tickets, that is not really productive. You are likely to get a templated auto reply with self help options for research.
A forum support agent can pull it when they are in if they wish.
I have been playing since 2004. They have never ever deleted chars, even on inactive accounts. They will only release the names after 2 expansions.
Mine werenât hidden or anything either, they were simply gone. The ticket wait time has an estimated 24 hours so weâll see if thatâs accurate.
If a CS rep can pull it, thatâd be even faster, I wouldnât have had many tickets around that time so itâd be a short list. Hopefully fix this ladâs missing millions as well while theyâre at it.
If they still have the ticket, Iâll just resubmit the ticket I made till I get one of them to pull it for me since they donât seem to make that information readily available. Iâve definitely had tickets older than 3 years.
They are not your personal clerks to pull things though. You donât actually need help with an account access issue, purchase, or in-game issue.
They MIGHT indulge you, but I would not count on it with the seriously long queue times right now.
Again, Blizzard NEVER deletes characters. Ever.
Ones a player deletes can eventually age out of the system so canât be restored, but only lower level ones.
As it is fairly late, Iâll be happy to dig into this tomorrow for Damagedsoul. In an effort to limit the amount of egregiously bad information, Iâm going to keep this locked for now.
No, they do not. An undeleted character does not at some future point become deleted through disuse.
That isnât a thing.
I donât know what you may be referring to, but it sounds like there is a massive amount of confusion there. The only thing that happens after several years would be that an inactive account may release the names being used by the characters on it. The characters though, are not deleted or otherwise impacted except if the name is taken, theyâll be able to select a new name if/when they log in again.
A bit more information would be helpful, you do seem to have a lot of characters, both active and deleted on a few different WoW licenses on the Battle.net account. A Realm name? Guild name? Character that was the guild leader?
About half the deleted characters were deleted at various times in the accountâs history, from 2008 and on, which is normal.
You do have a fairly large chunk of characters that were all deleted in December of 2017. Thatâs usually an indication of quitting the game, especially since they do seem to still have gold and items on them at the time of deletion.
My friend hasnât played since MoP; logged in and her original toon was still parked in panda land. You probably deleted your toon and simply forgot.
