The standard procedure is to not inform people that they’ve discovered an exploit that they’re working on so they can fix it without more people finding out about it and exploiting it.

Ok, so you knew it would happen.
I’m not sure I get your complaint. You said you knew that gold you had received incorrectly would be taken back, but you are annoyed you weren’t told about when it would happen?
This seems to be an odd sort of complaint to make. I mean sure, complain about a bug being in the game (though its not an unexpected thing to happen, given it related to a very big change in the game code) but to complain when the bug was corrected and adjustments made to the outcome? Because you weren’t told?

i shouldve seen an email before i logged in to find the gold deducted and wondering why happened - whether it was actually the ah bug thing or some other stupid bug
why are people adamantly defending 0 communicaiton about a company making changes to an account. small indie company right? i made it crystal clear that removing the gold was fine but a “hey we did this to your stuff btw” would’ve been nice ya know?
ill patiently wait for you to apologize for falsely calling me a liar and making other baseless accusations such as my account being locked

well game gold does grease the wheels of game
People were saying the AH was bugged but I put up some auctions and to my knowledge nothing went wrong with any of those auctions.
There was a hunter trying to buy some Progenitor Essentia from me because of the bug saying they were only 1 silver in the AH and he was paying 10 to 20 gold per. I said no because I am not sure if that’s what they were actually selling for at the time.
If somebody grabs a bunch of bags of money when an armored truck explodes I don’t imagine they’d be at all surprised if people showed up looking for it. 
If anything I’m surprised you weren’t handed a penalty.

Hmm … it talks about keeping accounts locked down to revert them, but it’s true they didn’t mention continuing to reclaim gold after they had been reopened.
Assuming you didn’t miscount and are correct that they have continued making corrections after reopening accounts, A follow up notice in the hotfixes would seem appropriate. (But I don’t know how often silent corrections happen - only one I’ve ever noticed happen to me was a Blizzcon pet I was once accidentally given but then had silently taken away a week later)
