Rolling back gold without communication is not cool

So, they fix an error (which from what I’m reading was borderline an exploit) and you’re upset cause they ninja fixed it?

It seems to me there weren’t enough people (ab)using the system for them to warrant notification.

You got gold for items you got back. You knew dang well it wasn’t “as you normally would” - be thankful they didn’t give you a suspension for exploiting gold.

I mean you don’t really own your account anyways, blizzard can do what they want to it anytime they please. Even without telling you.

oh ya i guess everyone who had expired auctions also is an exploiter in your book

what an awful take by many including you who dont even understand the bug lol

no wonder why the devs dont respond to your feedback

  1. They shut the AH down before any auctions could expire, so don’t lie.

  2. It only happened from cancelled auctions.

  3. I’m 99% sure they only locked accounts of people who exploited the issue more than once. I have friends who got gold once or twice, realized it was a bug, and opted to avoid the AH until they fixed it - they did not get their account locked or gold taken.

Which means there’s a very good chance you knowingly exploited.

And FYI, they DID tell you they were locking the affected accounts until they can fix the error that occurred.

this.

I knew they were doing this, and I rarely use the AH anymore.

the auctions didnt reset buddy

wrong

my account wasnt locked, i dont know why you think it was

has absolutely jack to do with the thread

you have an entire thread on the cc forum about bad communication from blizz and here you are defending that very problem

If they didn’t they should have informed you that the gold you received in error was going to be removed but in the end you had to know it was going to be done, otherwise why would they have locked the accounts to begin with?

i still like pvp turtles

They have bad communication. But they gave plenty in this case.

Warning people they were going to do it would have been the most mindless
thing they could have done. Yeah, lets give the exploiters time to try to hide
their gold by sending it to a friend or a second account.

literally the only thing i was complaining about was 0 communication from them about what was going to happen or when

i shouldnt have had to login this morning and wnoder why my bags were lighter you know? i ended up putting 2 and 2 together but they should have the tech to send an email about it

most people weren’t locked including myself, we’ve received 0 comms from blizzard

Literally the entire point of the thread - they told you what they were doing.

yeah, you expect me to believe you after you spread misinformation and have the nerve to call ME a liar? no thanks

no. they. didn’t.

emotions are running hi, the fed ex tourney is on btw

Seems to me that if they gave people an exact date and time, there would be all sorts of “transfer gold to other accounts” shenanigans going on to try to shield gold from reclamation that would force them to post more (and possibly yet more) notices of rollbacks.

I really have zero sympathy for anyone on this. It could be worse. Especially with the token system in place said gold could be used to convert into tokens into products off the battle.net store. It’s literally stealing. You know what you were doing.

good grief thats not what i’ve said at all

a simple “hey we did this to your gold” email is all they needed to send after they did it. they didn’t. 0 communication that they messed with things.

why is it so hard for poeple to understand that all im complaining about is 0 communication about it

Oh I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t inform people it was going to happen. One thing Blizzard has never been good at is communication.
