There was a massive server side lag that cause all of our characters to die on hardcore this is crazy. All the hours put into the game for a technical fault on your side to lose all the progress, and I cant even make a support ticket for it.
I think it’s funny.
They should do a rollback because, due to issues with their server, many characters died.
Don’t laugh; it’s not right!
Seriously, I would be so pissed too. I’m sorry to all the folks who lose HC toons today. So lame.
thousands dead
thousands dead
Over 9000
Did nobody read the first two paragraphs of the ‘Warning!’ when you make an hc toon? I get that it sucks, but we all agreed to these terms.
ddsosed server and thousand dead is not anyone agreed on, have some respect dude, seriously
The Third War.
this is what you agreed to roll again
No disrespect. I’m just saying that the terms are the terms, the word ANY is used twice with regard to network connectivity. I would have been upset too if I died during this, but I also knew that this was also a possible way my toon’s journey would end (and could still).
Pour one out for the fallen.
Server going down from ddos is Blizzard responsibility, not restoring those who pay for subscription and loose hundreds of hours invested is Blizzard`s choice. Total disrespect for players, no other devs threat their cumunity like that. But thats well known for many years, so yeah, its our fault by choosing to play it in the first place.
you chose to play hardcore… it was your choice to play a character with one life - one life that could end for any reason, including network connectivity issues as is stated in the warning when you create the character.
sure buddy, your’e the best
Oh, we’re laughing… this is what we all look forward to.
Nope! No rollbacks. Enjoy playing on dreamscythe
Choosing to play Classic hardcore while the RWF is happening in retail is just dancing with fate. There is always going to be a chance some nerd is going to EMP all of blizzard’s servers while its happening.
The servers are under a DDOS attack, and are therefore unstable.
There is a warning on the launcher about it.
When you create your character, you explicitly agree that your character is permanently deleted in all scenarios, including (and specifically named) disconnects and server outages.
Kick and scream all you want, it’s gone.
If I was a betting man, I’d say that the person doing this is an autist who died and is now spending his monthly disability allowance hiring a botnet for a few hours to delete as many other characters as he can.
It’s not, because you can’t predict when it will happen. There is only so much mitigation that can be done to prevent it, but no limits on what you can throw into an attack.
The deaths aren’t likely to be rolled back since it was right in the agreement that this was always a chance players took.
It sucks for everyone who lost a toon, but that’s the breaks unfortunately.
The warning was after the attack which makes it insultingly pointless.
