Most of the posts said they should, not would. Regardless the blue post didn’t say anything about bans, that doesn’t mean anything one way or another. They said the old ones will be rendered functionless.
Can you link one post where someone believed mass bans were coming? I’ve seen a lot of posts saying these players should be banned, but no posts about people expecting them to be banned. Blizzard would have to lift a finger and do work for that to happen. And we know they don’t like that.
Who knows if they’re even doing one . I will say that I highly doubt they plan to ban thousands of people who participated in buying and/or reselling boons today.
Dont think killing off their population is on their to-do list.
I think its unlikely they suspend anyone. They might have some gold penalties. But probably not.
You must be new here.
Yeah the people who bought a ton to resell deserve a ban
Private servers do roll backs all the time but Blizzard can’t manage it.
you cant say the F word in chat or you get a 1 week ban… but blizzerd let the scammers run whit thousands of gold. fxck is happening to this world
They are free to play. If not liking the roll backs that just wiped out a legit drop from raid as a consolation here is a refund. $0.00 straight to you.
F2P comes at a cost. You have no right to complain since it cost you nothing to start. so most don’t complain. Its free.
Like me with free hotel wifi. I don’t go karen when its crap. Its free. I demand a refund has no power. its free.
Store item buyers (common on fp2 pservers), get the purchases again.
Somewhere in these hours this ran 10K players+ got their itme they wanted. and pay $15 a month. and would be really ticked off it vanished for rollback for AV spammers.
roll back won’t happen.
no one will be banned.
it’s not a big deal anyway, some people was lucky to gain gold out of this and other was unlucky to lose gold for buying fake items.

the latter falls under should have known better as I see it.
It takes 2 “scam”. The buyer is just as bad as the “scammer”, if it sounds too good to be true should be common knowledge.
Luck has nothing to do with it. This was intentional which is pretty much the opposite of luck. If Blizzard doesn’t care enough to enforce their own TOS then why should anyone follow it? Any of it?
pretty much this. the buyers knew what they were buying was an exploit.
I still don’t understand what exactly happened. SoD players were in AV. But you can’t trade anything but mage food n drink between realms in BGs. So how did SoD crap end up in anniversary ?
I’m not pro rollback. I got home from work after all this happened and wasn’t in AV or buying/selling. I’m just laughing that they’re implying they couldn’t if they wanted to.
i meant with lucky people “those who was online during the exploit” lol
this is classic re-re-release, i can tell… everyone who saw the boon sell for 18silver in vendor bought tons of them for sure.
It was dead on launch with dual spec.
The only reason you all want a rollback is to screw over the guys that made it in and legitimately earned honor in the initial bg rush that you weren’t part of.
Only thing blizz should do is punish those that they find to have cheated.
Enough of the rollback talk. Blizz already said they can’t. That’s hilarious, but it is what it is.
this^
Also no new gold actually got generated here, no inflation occurred and they are just going to convert them to greys/delete them with an SQL query. It will be as if it never happened except for the gold that was spent buying them on the AH (and they very clearly have a different item ID/cooldown/vendor price/stack #)
The only victims are people who also were trying to get a leg up getting boons for 3g instead of 10g (so if you wanna ban, ban them too), and AH bots.
