I doubt Blizzard cares at all considering there’s not even a hotfix thread pinned for Wrath anymore (which is crazy), but rogues are currently
–the least played class in the game and neck and neck with shamans for the least played dps
–reduced to a buffbot in ICC, a tier where rogues were pretty strong in the original release
–a class that actually received a nerf in Classic while many other specs received hugely impactful buffs
–doing way less dps than other classes limited to performing one role
So many rogue mains have abandoned the class for something like feral because the gap is so large. It’s a real shame. Something like making poisons proc tiny abomination in a jar or reverting 3.3 poison scaling nerfs would put rogue in a much better position relatively while still not being as powerful as, say, buffed ret paladins and feral druids.
many? I only know of feral to get rid of bear weaving and ret, as first 3 phases they were at the most bottom. Oh and trap launcher. So that’s 3/30 specs.
Feint proccing weapon poison is an odd interaction. It probably messed with PvP as well if I had to guess.

At this point, meta has settled. I doubt they will bring any more buffs/nerfs at this point.

I never compare my class to others. It’s like comparing apples to oranges. It’s a recipe for disaster.
You need to compare yourself against other rogues of the same spec and same gear.
All raidleads review logs.
No one will look at a warrior doing 15k (but parsing 70) and at a rogue doing 14k (but parsing 99) and say that warrior is better than rogue.
Oh no. They won’t. And if they do, they are idiots and you shouldn’t play with them.
Outside of handful top racers, no one is really stacking S-tier specs. WFR did do some stacking, but its the race and the yare absolute min maxers.
Focus on your own performance vs other rogues.
I’m a rdru main. I will NEVER do 60k HPS on VDW. Its impossible. But I have my own other uses. I only compare myself to other Rdrus.
And on retail, during Shadowlands, I was platying outlaw rogue main, while Sub was THE GO TO SPEC for Season 2 and Season 3 in M+. But it didn’t change the fact that I was one of the top performing OL rogues. My overall DPS in keys was matching of those of top 0.5% M+ players.
Basically but saying it without bias yes with anything we can simplify it as:
Change Everything
Change Nothing
Change Some Things
Opinions will vary on which choices are the best for what parts of the game. I was personally fine with the changes to classes (I raided as an rshaman). However I thought the communication on their part was horrible and in a couple categories they failed to properly test/vet changes before going live.
I can compare myself with other specs that use the same gear and realize being a rogue is a waste of time in t10.
Who decides this? We had class changes at the start of P4. And all the buffed specs are near the top. Very much a take I would expect from a druid or paladin, though.

My rogue is already my alt. Switched to one of the chosen few classes who get absurdly huge buffs in a “Classic” re-release. I was a high 99er on rogue, but if I manage a 90 on feral druid it’s probably as good or better than 99 on rogue.
Go on WCL and try to find rogues in the top 1000 on any ICC boss.
Wraths over. And also, it was well known rogue isn’t doing well in Wrath but are big in Cata. Despite the information out there, you decided to pick rogue.
The expansion is already over tons of players on hiatus many guilds disbanded, it’s too late to ask for changes. it looks like that everyone lost interest in Wrath classic except real money traders.
but the pre-patch will drop in a month and that will change the balance when it remove armor penetration and bring mastery, also the armor specialization to force warr/ret to use all plate items.
Edit: but i feel you OP…it is so stupid that Blizzard only buffed Ferals/ret/warr/legendary rate which is non-direct buff to any 2handed users…and left some others behind! game feels like trash when blizzard change things without any anticipations.
Might wanna look at WCL before posting, bud? Rogues were not just competing near the top, but actually topping dps on at least one boss per tier before P4.
Prominent theorycrafters from many classes were confused seeing P4 sim projections with rogues so low, but ok! I dunno why I’m even responding to a minimum forum posting level sock puppet.

It was from the clear from the start that rogue has a rather decent start, but slowly falls down and have to respec in icc to even compete.

Btw hows your LK prog going? Maybe 30% helps you deal enough damage regardless of expected middle dps rogue.
