By locking the Rune of Teasing behind a rep farm (the one that requires supply boxes) blizzard basically made infeasible for rogues to have a tanking progression early into the game.
Also the 4.5 gold cost after the rep farm is insane, we can’t have these kind of decisions gating player progression.
We have already discovered all the runes for rogues and there are tons of good ones, but locking one of the 2 REQUIRED runes for tanking like that is not acceptable.
I won’t disagree or agree right now because I haven’t put thought into it, but speaking of alt tanking, Warlock’s Metamorphosis hasn’t been found so it also means that us warlocks can’t take as of now.
Ok but have you actually made it to 25 yet and have started on the endgame grind to see how it compares? I thought 4 gold sounded rough at first too, until I noticed I had earned a whole gold just from a handful of leveling quests in Ashenvale
Lock meta rune still hasn’t been found despite hundreds+ people posting different ideas and trying different things, and needing to get two separate items nearby level 28+ mobs. I would love a rep grind at this point
Blizz is making a lot of bad decisions with runes so far, not looking good for the future, but hope it changes.
Runes where you have to rep grind and spend a bunch of gold
Runes where you either have to be engineering or spend even MORE gold
Important runes buried so deep hundreds of people are still coming up empty
Super dumb way to unlock such a crucial rune
Two of rogues tank runes are locked behind stupid methods.
Rogues are the most expensive tank to run right now (main gauche and tease)
So if you can’t afford it, Don’t tank? There are other classes that can start tanking within the first few levels.
ah yes, in a mode about fun lets tell people they aren’t allowed to have fun unless they jump through silly hoops and spend a bunch of gold.
They should have made all the runes that enable new roles be attainable before level 15ish, like for shaman.
It’s been like that for years, so idk what’s new here. It’s like saying lets take the best raid gear and put it out in the open for everyone to get.
You do understand that season of discovery is a new concept and as such comes with expectations, frustration with the company behind a product is not something that can be used in favor or against an argument in this discussion.

Tank runes for every class should be obtainable before level 10. If you can’t tank dungeons while leveling, what’s the point? Rep grind at max level in order to become a tank is a nonstarter.
BTW ALL CLASSES have runes behind the rep/gold paywall. Not just rogues.

Good thing I rolled Human I guess will make the rep grind slightly better…
Yes, and none should, this isn’t just a rogue issue, lone wolf, rewind, pact, etc, a lot of very important, build making abilities, locked behind something that many people will never even get to (not in p1 at least)
Well, that depends. Let’s say theoretically you hand in ONLY filled shipments.
How many shipments would it take to become Honored?

That’s not the only problem, the gold cost is also absurd.
It would be fine if they asked us to hand over a couple of shipments and pay 50s.
But reaching honored rep on a item that you can only carry one at a time, then paying 4.5 gold is just too much.
