Warlocks, one spec of Priests and rogues are the only classes using shadow magic. However there is an entire allied race, void elves, that is infused with it and void elf rogues that spec subtlety are extremely cool thematically. I hope, if blizz does overhaul sub, that they differentiate it further from the other rogue specs rather than give it things like poisons or gouge from them.

I can say with some decent certainty now that the PvE cookie cutter build performs sub -optimally outside of sims. I do enjoy the discovery that comes with the sims being “wrong”.
Sub is also the “tankiest” in PvE, if the right talent blend is chosen
Subtlety was an awesomely fun and cool spec prior to the Legion rework
Interesting, challenging, and deep, with a playstyle focused on CC, burst, and hit and run kiting/restealthing
