How did he get proven wrong exactly?

Every other class has AoE dps, rogues get a cleave once every 2 minutes and maybe the worst AoE in the game period.

Shaman have fire nova, magma and apparently the new lightening shield rune.

Warriors have cleave, whirlwind and I guess thunderclap.

Mages have a bunch of AoE.

Warlocks have a bunch of AoE

I know druids are pretty weak in this department too.

Priests have bloody AoE for god sales.

Paladins have AoE.

Hunters have AoE.

Notice how every other class in the game has AoE aside from rogues?
They also have no unique utility.

So we have a single target damage profile and if we aren’t on top or very close too we are kick bots and provide less raid damage than an AFK Druid with wild strikes up and leader of the pack in a melee group.

Bear Druids are actually pretty good at holding threat now, their Swipe cleaves and they get another cleave spell when Berserk is popped.

Rogues never could aoe. That’s a warrior or paladin.

Well, when his entire point is “everyone else got something and we got nothing” then I think it’s important to verify it’s even a true statement.

Im lvl40 on my rogue.

It takes 4 hits of Shuriken Toss to kill a lvl8 boar.

So you think we are asking for mage aoe level of dps?

Shuriken toss would be fine, but its damage is based off 15% of our attack power, its also a generator, why not give us an aoe spender or something like that?

it takes 120 energy of my aoe to kill a lvl8 boar at 40.

Imagine if it took 4 max rank Arcane Explosions to kill a level 8 boar at 40.

Yeah this. I’m expecting to get an AoE finisher with 60 runes, but its pretty disheartening that Rogues need to wait this long.

We have an aoe that is capped at 5 mobs and it does less dps than us just using our single target rotation on 1 of the mobs.

No, I asked if that’s what you wanted because I didn’t know what you wanted. Crazy, right?

Yes, shuriken is weak. It could use a buff so long as it doesnt become more efficient to use than single target builders at less than 4 targets. Right now it’s not even worth using at 5 targets.

I dont think this is needed. Different classes should be different. This isnt retail.

Correct, maybe buff it to 50% of AP?

I mean it makes sense, we have an aoe combo generator but no aoe spender.

No, he isnt correct. He stated that everyone received a form of aoe through runes except rogues. That isnt correct no matter how many times you try to tell me whirlwind is a new rune and shuriken toss has been part of the base kit since 2004. Call it a technicality if you want, but his entire whine is based off that incorrect statement.

If you want to say rogues have weak aoe, fine, I agree with you there. But see my very first post.

sure, if you want to dance around the real fact that rogues are the only class without aoe, then yes other classes didnt recieve with aoe.

but the point of this post, as per the title, is that rogues lack aoe, and that every class has aoe except rogues.

youre doing some dumb stuff where youre ignoring the real facts that rogues have no aoe, with a really weird attempt of using runes to justify it.
