I was travelling through Deadwind Pass and wanted to venture lower and explore the area. I stumbled upon a location called The Vice where there seems to be an abundance of ogres. I saw 3 lvl 59 rogues and I observed their movements and it’s full blown bots. I reported all three of them but has blizzard been doing anything in TBC regarding these bots?
This is a very common botting area. I used to farm bots here for the honor.
You were correct to report. They do ban bots, sometimes in waves though.

I’ve seen them in instances. Hellfire Ramparts. Just nonstop running in and out

Glad to hear that blizzard does something about it. However, I feel like it’s not enough. I hope they bring back GM’s. That really made a huge difference for the quality of the game.

What do they farm in DWP? Picking pockets?
back in the day it was hunters botting the birds
I killed a few mobs and they drop around 6-8s per mob. Junk weapons/armor to vendor and cloth.
the cloth is all runecloth maybe theres high prices to sell on their server… otherwise it would make more sense to farm 58-60 mobs in hellfire for the netherweave and better green drops
or maybe they bot there instead of hellfire because theres less people around to notice them and get reported
This is the reason why the spot has always been common.

It is/was. I farmed runecloth there way back when to get the wolf mount (org rep), before AV was even out.
The +9 to strength bracers enchant from the lock mobs was worth a bit too.
