Rngs are insane

In a night of queueing I had 54/105 fears resisted. That is against all classes so obviously some have the 15% and some have none. This isn’t even a one off day like I usually hover around 30-40% resists. Yeah I’m capped, yes I dispel mark and shadow prot. I’m just wanting like a blue confirming resist calculations are fixed. I remember season 1 chanimal made a video of warlock pets where they resisted 93/100 corruption casts or something insanely high like that.

Vsing double rogue as a priest and getting a double fear resisted when they don’t have cloak is 100% game losing and yeah I’ve made this post a few months ago but there has been no changes it seems to my bad rng.

mage life is being feared while fully doted and being searing pain’d and the fear not breaking
while target resists cs’s and shatter combos
but im not complaining because im aware on where my class is

105 is a relatively small sample size. It sucks when things like this happen, but they do.

And?

STOP DEFENDING BLIZZARD ON THIS CRAP

The blizzard defense is getting old man.

“Classic” has a lot of problems when it comes to the RNG mechanics being either insanely broken and failing way more than they should or ever did in the past… OR the RNG is constantly favorable for some things.

TLDR blizzard’s quality is garbage right now and it needs to be fixed.

Defending them with LOL ONLY A SMALL SAMPLE SIZE its only padding things for them.

Do not feel sorry for OP. Fear should not be spammable in the first place, its bad class design. It should have a CD, even if it was short like 6 seconds.

Have you tried not fear spamming and doing something else? Like damage? Stop relying on one OP gimmick and use the other tools in your kit.

Bad class design or not it should not be massively broken like this. And if you want to talk about bad class design, druids are the king of it.

buddy he is a priest
he doesnt spam fear
he presses it once and it has a cooldown

Even if it were howl (i don’t think any one specs it) but still should not have an absurd resist chance.

It’s the way the math works. You can run into the same issues in pretty much any other game… even tabletop RPGs.

True, but it makes me wonder if the OP has taken into account natural fear resist, which is 5%, on top of talents, hit rating, and spell pen.

Out of all the classes to say that are designed badly, you pick a druid? Firstly, you’re posting on a rogue. Second, only resto is considered broken and its not SL/SL warlock broken. I play feral and we’re severely under represented in PvP.

Ah, that makes even more sense. I assumed that since he was complaining about fear, it’d be a warlock.

So given that he is a priest, he probably isn’t hit capped or have any spell pen. Not to mention that its an instant cast AoE fear with a very short CD for something that strong. Many classes have talents that reduce the chance to be hit by AoE affects, and Psychic scream is one of them. As a feral I have a 15% chance to resist fears, and an additional 15% chance to resist AoE effects. Total i have a 35% chance to resist Psychic scream.

Warts and all. Nova feels like it doesn’t break on damage, and gnome racial resists too much.

Just stop man.

Something is very wrong man, the resists and “RNG” on things is out of hand, there was indeed RNG in original TBC but it was never this bad.

The way druid is tuned is ridiculous, 15 sec charge that interrupts its a bit much when you also have spammable clone and roots.

Everything is working as intended. We need to give the conspiracy theories a rest at this point.

I don’t disagree, but there is a downside. Going bear form just to interrupt is very mana intensive regardless of the druids spec. Roots and cyclone i feel like resist just as much as any other spell, however.

I agree with this 100%. Ferals are supposed to counter mages, but the talent that gives the mage a 15% chance to freeze the target in place when hit is absolutely broken compared to original TBC. One auto attack, frozen. Shift out of it, auto attack, frozen, shift…repeat. I’ll OOM before I can even force the mage to ice block.

yeah its dumb, and it should break almost immediately and I have been abusing it… Guilty as charged.

my nova feels its broken by the wind
i promise

Yes it procs basically on the first melee swing by players, at least that’s what I see. Not sure why it behaves that way. This allows me to immediately lance, this will also likely get worse in Wrath.

Yeah I’m not excited for it. Its gotten so bad that I actually thought about gemming/gearing frost resist in my PvP set because mage/rogue is just broken as hell. In wotlk they get a full stun with it…sigh.

I am kinda worried about wrath because they have so much wrong here that was never this way before; and considering that level of failure on their part makes me think they will just screw it up even more in wrath.
