This. I wish Classic had friendly mob tagging rules and allowed many people to tag a mob. Would make leveling 200% more comfy.

The inconvenience incentivizes sharing with other players or grouping up with them
It is truly an inconvenience, but it’s actually one that adds value which is why classic players don’t want changes. My experience even with beta was the same thing, I’d help others doing quests and they’d help me or we’d just group up if necessary. Actually made a bunch of random friends this way that I never would’ve on live.
This is generally how most annoying and inconvenient things play out in Classic, they do force positive interactions that just wouldn’t happen otherwise.
