RMT Boosting in Rated Battlegrounds

There are 2 consistent groups of players who are continually selling wins and boosts in Rated Battleground for RMT boosting. This has been happening for seasons upon seasons. Why is RMT boosting being tolerated in Rated Battlegrounds? When is anything ever going to be done about them?

are you sure they arnt bots ? because those are the only rmt i ever see

I think what would help is once you get a certain CR you can’t go below it. For example
1400
1550
1700
1800
and so on, once you reach those you can never go below that rating no matter how much you lose.

So the idea is to prevent de-ranking?

Yeah, I mean what else could they do?

Who knows.

this is one of the best ideas Ive heard :+1:

I get what you’re trying to achieve with this, making it harder for RMT to boost, but PvP gear is easy to acquire and these guys can just easily roll a new toon to continue to boost players. Making it so you couldn’t fall below a certain threshold would devalue those rankings.

If you achieve 1800, fall below it, and are unable to reach it again, then you didn’t deserve it in the first place.

I think having to make a toon over and over would grow old after a while. So if you get 1800 and fall below it, you never deserved it, okay? But the person did reach that rating and what is your plan to rectify this?

Most of these guys have tons already. Kennie is probably responsible for half the PvP participation by himself. If you are boosting for real money, chances are you do this full-time and have multiple toons on multiple accounts.

Nope, people rise and fall all the time. I’m saying that if you achieved 1800, fall below, and cannot get to 1800 again then you probably didn’t deserve it the first time. A lot of people can get lucky, get just the right teammates, and fall into a higher rating than what they deserve.

This also ensures that those that are boosted fall back to the rating that they deserve when they try to play again.

So what is your plan to resolve this?

This is a gosh dang good idea, love it!

Any plan is irrelevant. They require time and resources, that Blizz are not willing to dedicate to PvP. What is likely to happen is the final season of DF they will introduce a Rated BG solo queue. Then a year later, end Rated BG’s citing “Low participation”

Your plan won’t resolve anyone, but it will give rating protection to those that boost.

How would it not? And let me ask you again, what is your plan?

Boosters could maintain toons in each bracket. Then, feed rating to the people they’re helping.

People they’re helping on the other team? Lose.

People they’re not helping? Win/lose.

About to break into the next bracket? Lose.

^ This.

As I said before, any plan is irrelevant, since Blizz won’t dedicate time and resources to PvP. If we are going on hopes and wishes here… Blizz knows who the boosters are. The data is there. Accounts who always play together and randomly take in 1-2 others at a lower MMR. It won’t be hard to figure out who are the boosters and who is getting boosted.

So ban the boosted, not the booster. Dial back their rating, and give them a temp ban. It’s like what, $300? To boost a toon? The website isn’t going to start refunding people. And if you waste your money once, you aren’t going to do it again.

players do this already that arnt bots lol .
im just waiting for you to be like roaaaarr something something shakes fist premades is the problem

anyone that pays irl money for a boost is sad lol liek lit just play the game your not making yourself progress any better , you r not learning your class , you r not improving from it . Its like the ppl that buy level carries for toons because even with level xp boost events or tokens they are too lazy to just play the game .

We do see a fair number of posts that want boosters to keep the money and suffer no consequences, while their customers would be banned. It’s almost as if you’re part of the problem.
