Rip zaralek caverns. rares will despawn now

Not 100% sure on this but I think we can only kill them once per reset as a rare. If so, we now get our one kill a week if it happens to be around.

They have responded to this statement in the past.
"Somebody did ask for this. We, the developers, asked for this!

Literally just make the damn things soloable. I want to get the DR customization from them. I want to get the mog Iā€™m missing from them. But I canā€™t because theyā€™re technically group content, but no one is ever in ZC anymore. No on asked for this 15 minute despawning crap lmao

With all the bugs regarding the despawns and respawns of the rares, Iā€™m stunned how the zone went from kinda almost dead to brutally butchered.

do people even go there i usually go there are there are only horde - they told me alliance are scared to death of that spot

It sounds like youā€™re talking about warmode. I donā€™t ever go there, so have nothing I can say about that culture.

why did they create an area that no one goes to at all

If a stone drops in ZC does it make a sound? No. No it doesnā€™t. Because thereā€™s no one there to hear it.

I take it you donā€™t do a lot of serevite mining?

(I think the lifespan of mining nodes around the tower area can be measured in milliseconds these days - since they ā€œfixedā€ sharding/populations, itā€™s kind of crazy there)

Still crickets from blizz.

Usually they respond eventually but damnā€¦ theyā€™re really not budging on this one.

I will sayā€¦if they did make the rares soloable or with at least 2-3 440+ players then Iā€™d maybe see a reason to go there but there really isnā€™t. They used to drop drake crests but now you can get more plenty from seeds in emerald dream and even normal mode raid so itā€™s really not a big deal.

Oh iā€™ve seen those. Those are just bots. So no human there still lol.

If theyā€™re bots, theyā€™re nothing like the obvious bots I used to encounter pre-DF. Individual pathing, erratic behaviour, very human-looking quirks. Not very talkative, but then again neither am I when I go into gathering hyper-focus.

They appear erratic, but most of them (if not all) are still bots. They only appear erratic because of DR mounts. Whenever I see them, they all still follow the same predictable pattern of descending onto a node all at the same time and following each other (more or less). Thereā€™s a near zero chance that about 20 independent actual human players are all dropping on the same node all at the same time for many hours on end.

Thatā€™s sad if true.

I have encountered some herbalism swarms in the Azure Span that behave suspiciously like a coordinated train - even ā€œbrokeā€ one a couple of weeks ago by accidentally overloading a frost herb right before they started landing one by one on top of me, causing them to all stop and start twitching wildly; I donā€™t tend to see any such obvious tells with the uncoordinated pandemonium in ZC with people flying in from all directions.

Azure span is nothing but bots now. Trains of 20+ in all directions come back as fast as you can report them.

Iā€™ve always been hesitant, probably too hesitant, to report bots.

In part because Iā€™m always paranoid Iā€™ll be submitting a false accusation about some person or group just more zoned-in than I am. I realize Iā€™d be just flagging them for a closer look, but it still feels deeply uncomfortable (for me) to be the one pointing the finger.

In part because I feel it shouldnā€™t be my job as a player to police botting.

In part because I sort of have to maintain a state of denial to stay motivated to even participate in gathering.

(anyway, this is a bit of a tangent to the rares issues the thread was originally about)

The reason was because the zone was so big and many would sit there and not be killed by the limited numbers of players ever in that given area. So I guess if you have the rares pop up where people are then there is a greater chance to kill said rares. And Iā€™m still trying to process the rares in specific zones spawning and cycling around between zones idea.

I donā€™t know what problem they were originally trying to solve and Iā€™m not sure how this solves things either. I think they kinda confused the crud out of people for no reason with how they were intended to spawn in the first place.

Iā€™ve seen those as well. I was on a flight path and I thought some people were actually participating in a pvp DR race. Then it dawned on me what they actually were. I think the difference you might be seeing can be at least partially explained by the fact that the geography between ZC and AS. ZC is a lot smaller and has a lot more verticality. So it necessitates a lot more parabolic type flight paths. Whereas AS is much flatter. It just has trees in the way. But the trees only require you turn left or right. Not to fly over them.

There are other telltale signs of a botter, theyā€™re usually super low ilvl and are dracthyr since dracthyr start at level 50.

So I started Zaralak late.

When I am there, I occassionally find a rare and post a group.

Noone joins.

There just isnā€™t interest if they are up or not.

Iā€™m 100% convinced at this point that itā€™s office politics. No game studio would do this on purpose because of the expense. Both time and money were burnt.

Someone hates someone else in the office and this is their way of teaching them whoā€™s the bossman. Youā€™ll notice that the paying customers simply didnā€™t matter in this feud between employees.

Someone higher up than both needs to step in and end this.
