Darth Vader voice: I have altered the deal, pray I do not alter it any further.
People rarely go there as it is, so this wont help at all.
yeah make solo bottle neck rares wont work
I still donât understand why they wonât simply reduce the health pool of the rares in ZC then modify the drop rates on things to be smaller than before. Best of both worlds. You can solo it (if you pay attention) and youâll keep coming back for the loot drop.
Thatâs what Forbidden Reach felt like it was all about. Blizzard learned the wrong lessons here; their âfixâ is the worst possible solution.
I just read this on wowhead hotfixes: " Wherever possible, all cosmetics and collectibles that drop from a unique rare elite enemy in Forbidden Reach and Zaralek Cavern will now drop more often."
Lets hope it is atleast a few % more and not 0.1 % more
No matter the drop rate they boosted it to it wonât make a difference if the rares arenât even up to test it.
On another note Iâm supposed to be on forum vacation but the hotfix notes have riled me up. However I will refrain from a volcano of colorful words because I have work tomorrow.
Sorry i didnt mean to rile you up i just wanted to let you know since you worked hard on this issue.
Oh you didnât. The âhotfixâ did. I already made a post about it in the CC forums an hour or so ago. Please donât think Iâm mad at you. rofl
sigh âWherever possible stuff will now drop more oftenâ is such a nothingburger of a statement. What does that even mean? Whatâs the premise here? Whatâs the chance for a drop?
We had this happen before in ZC where it was said, but not applied AND it already happened on other occasions, like holiday mounts where the drop chance didnât really change. I donât get it and with a statement like this that lacks any details I donât believe it. Iâm just mad right now about âchangesâ like these when thereâs so much clear feedback about this and Ravij fought with all his heart that we might get heard by the devs.
After months I finally got the manuscript from Volcanakk last night. After waiting for over an hour for it to spawn and getting help. The drop chance was never the problem, but waiting for the spawn and then for other players because itâs impossible to solo. Even a higher drop rate for stuff is completely useless, because for something to drop you obviously have to kill the rare, which is a bigger problem right now.
IMO they should make these âraresâ respawn withing 2 minutes of dying and just always be up at this point. And also make them low HP and soloâable. The zone is dead and outdated, and the only reason to go back is to finish rep for things and farm w/e you want to farm. I skipped Zalarek completely and now that the new Christmas drake armor is coming I stepped into Zalarek just to see, but NOPE! I hate it. I 100% refuse to go there, Iâll die on this hill. That zone sucks, the story is trash, the mole people are stupid, and itâs just bad. Shame too because the zone its self is really cool looking.
Well I guess I am never going to finish customizing my Slitherdrake. I couldnât get those white horns to drop before, but after sitting in Invoqâs spawn for three hours I remembered how much I despise spawn camping. I am not even playing the game anymore I am just sitting here wishing I was doing anything else. And it didnât even drop so it was a complete waste of time. This is what makes WoW feel less like a game and more like a job.
Thatâs stupid Invoq rare is the last one I need too. I need the toy he drops. Must have killed him at least 50-100 times. Nada.
⌠this makes 0 senseâŚ
just nerf their hp so ppl can solo? no one is there anymore anyways so now this is deader content than it already is because there are no rares Lol wtf⌠wow
Hp and damage on all mobs, elites and rares.
Itâs ridiculous that mobs in Z caverns have more hp and hit harder than the Emerald Dream zone.
âŚso by now itâs been basically confirmed that this change was only made to make the zone feel less dead/less empty of players? After reading the Blue-post that seemed to be âthe gistâ of the explanation
Basically the Blue-post said that there were âtoo many rares up on the mapâ at any given time and that players were too âscatteredâ or âspread outâ to be able to kill them in a reliable/timely manner - basically admitting (in an indirect way) that the zone is dead
Just posting a daily reminder that I have had even less of a reason to go to ZC due to this âwe love murderballzâ hotbreak and have been avoiding it as a result.
I donât understand it one bit. Like in the CC forums they were like âKeep the feedback coming!â and then a week later they proved to EVERYONE, not just CC members, but everyone that they decided to not listen and go with what they originally laid out in an idea.
Iâm definitly going to be talking about this for a good while in a stream Iâm planning Friday cause sometimes my text just doesnât feel like enough and I actually wanna talk about it with my voice.
This is the worst irony of all. At least prior to the change, when I felt like it I could at least head into ZC and be guaranteed that the rare I needed was actually up. Ok I might not have been able to kill it. But at least it was there on the off chance I could be arsed to afk kill it for 10min in tank spec. But now? LMAO nope!
So congrats, blizz. Even less people will be in ZC due to this change. I donât know what it is with ZC but blizz just decided straight up the moment it was released to take a big wet and steamy dump on the zone from day 1. Iâve never seen them screw over one particular zone so viciously as they have with ZC.
At some point you have to wonder if something happened at the managerial level at blizz HQ that made a couple managers go at it each other in this way. Maybe one manager got authority over how ZC was going to be implemented but then another manager snuck in and stole authority via a supervisor and ever since then the original manager is trying to kill ZC to prove that the other manager did a botched job.
Thereâs a nonzero chance that in the next week a Blizzard rep will say âZaralek Caverns has had more people in it now than in the past few months, which shows the changes are a success!â ignoring the fact that the Sparks of Life weekly is in ZC.
The timing is sus
