Look I wish you would stop bragging. It’s not that easy for most of us. The AH is a mini-game that most people don’t enjoy playing. Their lack of attention to it makes it easy for you. If everybody did play it with the same degree of seriousness that you do you wouldn’t find it so easy to win at that game.
Pst, from someone who made almost 2 million gold in Wrath: alts with transmutation master paired with a JC prints gold every day just by logging in and pressing a button.

Making gold in LKC isn’t hard. Most people just suck at playing the game and thus suck at making gold. Literally a skill issue.

Many people just don’t care about it enough to put the work in. I play the game for fun and most of the ways to make money aren’t fun for me. I did the minimum necessary to buy what I needed not more. Making gold in game or making money in the real world never interested me very much. I traveled for several months in Mexico where you’re expected to barter for everything in every store. My friends told me I had to do it or it would hurt every other American there. Stores would look at Americans as easy marks and over charge them more than they already do. I hated bartering, some people loved it. Fortunately I wasn’t there to buy crp, I was there to experience the country. So I didn’t have to barter much.
I hear they are making a Wrath server after all!

My point is more so that these individuals will label anyone with more gold than themselves as someone who rmt’d for it, or you got it via gdkp which to them is just rmt, so in the end, to them, it’s rmt gold. They’ll view something like 50k gold as some insurmountable mountain that one can only climb through illegitimate means. In reality, they don’t play the game well, and in many cases, really at all, and are just drastically behind the curve on gold. They don’t consider that a possibility, instead choosing to vilify anyone and everyone else who passes them in gold. It’s asinine.
Heydownthere, assuming he’s telling the truth, made his gold through the auction house. I made the vast majority of my gold watching whatever show I felt like watching while flying in circles for hours on end hitting rocks, coupled with literally just playing the game. Loremaster of northrend slid me close to 10k extra for just questing, dailies give a thousand every couple of days, random things that I sold on the auction house for a hundred here, hundred there, and suddenly I got a couple more thousand just vibing in the auction house. Titanium ore in naxx and ulduar were dirt cheap, and the gems they gave from prospecting were not dirt cheap. God knows how much I made from that, and that was literally just buying titanium when it was low priced in the market.
It’s tedious and mind numbing, full on brain rot, but hard it is not.
Edit: I got insane during ulduar. DMF to exalted cost me about 10k gold. I made 11k back in abyss crystals. The gold really does just sit there and wait to be taken
Correct I mainly make my gold through the auction house, I flip tradegoods, DE mats, convert ore to gems, sell profession crafts and sell it all for a profit.
Buying out entire stocks or a majority a stock so that I’m the main seller of said item and selling it for a higher price. I’d say that I spend roughly 10 minutes doing AH stuff (longer cause I afk between getting stuff from the mailbox and putting them on the AH) when putting things on the AH but could spend as long as half an hour when stocking up on items to sell. Most of the time I buy things that are below 80% of the market price (which is denoted by TSM)
I make it worse by drip feeding it back by only selling 24 stacks of any given item so if I have more than 24, let’s say 56 stacks, I’d have them on another character waiting for the initial 24 stacks to sell (or at least half). Makes mail annoying but I think it’s best to not flood the market and create a “price wall”, can really kill a market.

I enjoyed the heck out of it until blizzard stated it was going to end and be replaced a second time with cataclysm with no way to ever experience wrath of the lich king and the old talent trees ever again. Then the fun ended.
I wanted both cata and permanent wrath. But they won’t let me do both.

Still my favourite expansion, mainly for nostalgia reasons. Guild was in full swing etc
I left this time when the expansion dropped due real life. I came back with cata in mind and was a bit disturbed at the xp buff being only 50% but it wasn’t as bad as expected. I’m kind of glad I didn’t have to do the rep grind for BiS this and BiS that though.
There was never anyone queuing for randoms so its been all questing in crafted and quests drops. But I reached 80 on 3 characters and got their professions maxed. So I feel at least a little prepared. Don’t have a roster of 80’s but no biggy. Had fun, grateful for xp buff, might not have bothered without it.
Wrath will always be my homeboy. I have played all the expansions since. But I am done with blizzard at this rate.
And I love retail to. But blizzard not making permanent wrath classic is kind of the last straw for me.

Just ignore Heydownthere. They’re intentionally dishonest when it comes to the topic of RMT in Classic and feel the need to jump into every single discussion about it on the forums.
Like, no one would be making 100k legitimately and “so easily” if it wasn’t for the MASSIVE inflation caused by GDKPs, RMT, and bots. The gnome knows this.
