RIP Ruth Bader Ginsburg

She is a Supreme Court Justice, most famous for her policies in furthering Womens rights while also maintaining and promoting Mens rights.

Unfortunately she placed all her cards on a Hilary victory in 2016, and chose to remain in her seat, losing the chance to be succeeded by a like minded individual.

Today she died, leaving her Supreme Court seat open for President Trump to appoint a new Judge. This is a position you serve for life. Till death or retirement.

Buddy I hate to break it to ya but ICE is doing forced sterilizations in their concentrations camps. Yeah, America has concentration camps. Just because it doesn’t affect you doesn’t mean its not evil.

America is a toilet and we’re all the turds circling the bowl.

One step closer toward the USA becoming a right-wing hellhole.

I agree my friend. I’m sorry a strong woman scares some people. Probably basement virgins.

Forced sterilization is nothing new in America and it should be completely unsurprising that we’re doing it to marginalized people yet again

Never underestimate the power of an imbalanced Supreme Court. They are arguably more powerful than the president, and are the real power of law in the land.

I believe she hedged her bets on another democrat succeeding Obama. In her mind I’m sure it was “I’ll be able to go a few more years. If something forces my retirement or I unexpectedly pass a judge can be nominated that is similar to me.” This train of thought was a mistake because it put the outcome she desired up to chance instead of just deciding it herself and being done.

Her passing has some grave implications. Whether you agreed with her or not when she voiced an opinion it tended to be rational/reasonable.

Hold up… THIS thread was flagged while BLM posts are not?! Blizz. 100% shame on you and everything you stand for.

She was a left wind radical who legislated from the bench.

Yes because Evil Pelosi would do any different.

Lets not pretend here.

If the Democrats were in the position that McConnell is in, they would do exactly the same. If the Democrats had controlled the Senate back in 2016 when Scalia died they would have done it then, they just didn’t have the option.

Those in power will do what they have the power to do, everything around that is just posturing and it really doesn’t matter what side of the political isle you are talking about.

Its an odd sort of left-wing radical who was anti-BLM and often sided with her right-wing colleagues on things. She was, arguably, a neoliberal or possibly a “progressive” on some issues, notably women’s issues. But on economics, don’t worry - she was plenty right-wing for you lot.

The only thing different she’d do is her hair.

If Republicans were gonna put up a new justice, id rather it be an actual Republican President, and not a larper whose only on The Republican ticket because third parties are not a viable path.

Cant wait for everyone to be massive hypocrites. The left will suddenly demand that the choice wait, which is the polar opposite of 2016 while the right will suddenly be ok with pushing it through before the election. Its almost like every one of them lacks actual integrity and they are all corrupt.
