Lasts 8 seconds on a 5 min CD… We’re all but defenseless when it runs out. Are you telling me you can’t manage to survive for 8 seconds?
Not to mention the game aint balanced around 1v1, never has been… Ret may be good in 1v1 but we aren’t good at all in every kind of PvP that actually matters, DKs are. If you walk a mile in our shoes you’ll quickly realize the grass ain’t greener over here.

This is my main actually, I posted on my DK earlier because I’m sure you wouldn’t take a Ret’s word about how easy ret is to kill.
I was salty when I made that post. I won’t lie.
The thing is though, the only alternate corruption that is possible are Gushing (for 2s) and Mastery but are both extremely niche situations. Only other would be ineffable truth for 3s but that’s even more niche. What rets actually want to stack is Vers. Gushing is pretty bad for us since its got a pretty bad proc rate for all the sources of ret damage.
So a ret doing burst, is pretty much just pure ret damage. (in comparison to all the other classes that have borrowed power/gushing doing +30% of their damage)
Or the alternative is you ran into a ret in his tank gear stacking full TD and you stood in the beam.

Well, he’s complaining about 1v1, so he probly ran into some PvE Ret out in the world who nuked him with corruptions.
to much salt, but honestly he probs found a rets that nuked him will full mastery gear AND a stars corurption for good measure. but like, its very easy to kill us in pvp situations, its easy to survive 8 seconds especially as unholy dks. unholy dks are the type of dks i have trouble the most in pvp, your burst is just EXTREMELY STRONG. we rely on wings but you hav an army of pets and more to burst us down

Where did I ever say 1v1 mattered? I simply pointed out that he was complaining about fights that he should win, and his replies led me to believe he was trolling.
