It was flagged because it’s not about WoW. Come on, you know this.

Good for them. That’s actually a very tough city except for small pockets.

Crime is actually down year over year. Before the virus, the standard of living and employment rates were going way up.

The issue is population density. Defunding police is absolutely idiotic. Short term feel-good idea, with long term substantial issues.

I just wish politicians would use this moment to address those issues instead of everything but.

It makes it worse cause in the report they wrote he tripped but people were recording it and you can see he was clearly pushed

I doubt they have the stones to do it. I bet they’re just pandering until the next big media outrage comes around.

Fair enough, I assumed people flagged it simply because they agreed that it should be defunded/dismantled.

I don’t follow the news because I don’t have Twitter anymore (because someone gave me a terrible recipe on there). What happened? Neutral replies only, please.

Unfortunately people are violent and criminal by nature, not all but a significant enough percentage. It doesn’t have anything to do with race or anything else, its a human thing. So there will always be a need for police and there will always be bad apples to weed out, the police unions currently prevent us from weeding out the bad apples.

It’s just, so damned depressing, I’ve been hearing these stories since I was kid and it’s always made me sick, I don’t think we can fix the country without some kind of police reform, but I think disbanding it is a step too far. My uncle was gunned down by cops in front of my grandma in her home, and I still know that’s nothing compared to what happens to folks who aren’t white.

And yeah, I’m glad they brought charges against the other officers but that practice should never has been used, the guy was face down and cuffed, he was no longer a threat. If 4 police officers can’t handle one unarmed handcuffed guy, they might need to look at other professions. At this point, I’m glad to hear the police might just be on soap retrieval duty in prison now.

The vote did happen it passed no veto can happen.

The police union may fight back but they cant win when it’s been voted on.

Got a good belly laugh out of this. I expected you to make a comment about politics, “cancelled” culture, general toxicity, or some other problem typical of Twitter but THIS was unexpected and hilarious.

10/10 reason to drop Twitter and not go back. What was the recipe?

Wait so the vote to have it dismantled or defunded happened? What’s going to happen?

The Minneapolis City Council voted to disband their police department. Neutral enough?.

You’re probably right.

I think the media is becoming a bigger problem than actual violence.

Cop wasnt a great Cop prolly shoulda been fired along time ago.
People protest. Riots ensue. Things Burn. People loot. People beat up business owners who protect their stores.
City council decides no more cops.

Don’t forgot to blame trump. Because every bad thing that happens in life is because of him.

I think it’d be litigated. Though I don’t know the implications after that point.
