Paying respects:
F
He died?

Simple man
Yeah. Stroke @ 83
Well, at least he kept his soul! No devil winning a battle against him.
That is terrible. This year keeps getting worse.
Hell has broken in Georgia . Does that mean Charlie is playing his fiddle hard ?
83 is pretty good innings. Still, RIP.
he was in a bind
'cause he was way behind
I think my favorite part about that song is it makes it sound like the Devil is some low level salesman.
Instead of the personification of sin that heās usually depicted as heās just some guy thatās constantly being yelled at by his boss because heās not meeting his quota. He probably goes home and argues with his wife about missing his kidsā soccer game and being late for dinner.
In before some one gets it closed down .
to a class act
I dunno who he is but RIP.
83 is a good age to go though, hopefully he lived a happy life.
Then logs into WoW and plays alli random bgs, yells at everyone for being scrubs and making everyoneās life hell.
RIP Charlie D
Youāve never heard the song āThe devil went down to georgia?ā, either youāre super young or living under a rock
Man TDWDTG was the reason i got into Violin playing years ago. Rip brutha
Another legend is taken from us. I hope he lived a happy life, and that his family finds some peace during these trying times. RIP Charlie, you inspired more than you know.
"Long Haired Country Boy"
People say Iām no good, and crazy as a loon
āCause I get stoned in the morninā, I get drunk in the afternoon
Kinda like my old blue tick hound, I like to lay around in the shade
And I aināt got no money, but I damn sure got it made
āCause I aināt askinā nobody for nothinā
If I canāt get it on my own
If you donāt like the way Iām livinā
You just leave this long haired country boy alone
Preacher man talking on TV, puttinā down the rock and roll
Wants me to send a donation, ācause heās worried about my soul
He said, āJesus walked on the water.ā, and I know that itās true
But sometimes I think that preacher man, would like to do a little walkinā too
But I aināt askinā nobody for nothinā
If I canāt get it on my own
If you donāt like the way Iām livinā
You just leave this long haired country boy alone
A poor girl wants to marry, a rich girl wants to flirt
A rich man goes to college, a poor man goes to work
A drunkard wants another drink of wine, and a politician wants your vote
I donāt want much of nothing at all, but I will take another toke
āCause I aināt asking nobody for nothinā
If I canāt get it on my own
If you donāt like the way Iām livinā
You just leave this long haired country boy alone
My absolute favorite is āUneasy Rider.ā Itās a storytelling little comedy song about the rural South and its internal conflicts during the 1960ās, and I love everything about it.
I love that song. R.I.P! You will be missed.
