Yup. The beauty of the Horde is the diversity of opinions and races. Meanwhile…the Alliance is all about humans and poor Night Elves are sequestered to the dark corners of Azeroth like tiny vermin. What a sad end to the Night Elves!

Yet whenever we are made the villains, we are all written as being orcs or forsaken. Anyone that goes against the writing or what is being done is labeled as alliance or alliance wannabe. If the beauty of the horde is the diversity, why does that diversity not get shown when it would really drive the point that the Horde is not all the same home?

They’d lose half of the playerbase if they merged the factions.
If they merged them, yeah, but one can allow players to group cross faction without merging the factions. Think of it like our characters are adventurers or mercenaries, are we really going to object to getting help from the other faction in taking down a tough foe? Are we really going to complain about teaming up with ones from the other faction in order to handle a threat to Azeroth?
The factions should remain separate, but the lines for players can easily come down or they can allow players to break form their factions and still keep the factions separate.

We did and Sylvanas answered by ripping a hole in between dimensions.

Yeah, when Ion said the faction divide had “value”, he literally meant monetary value. Faction transfer money, and keeping us from sending items/money between our faction alts means more people will buy tokens on both factions.
I look forward to the next dumb storyline that puts the factions at odds, only to have to join forces to defeat a villain, only to put the factions at odds, only to join forces to defeat a villain, only to put the factions at odds, only to join forces… Nah you’re right, super “value”, you guys got this!

I didn’t expect them to do anything, but I hoped they’d at least let cross faction groups for dungeons and raids. Because with a major peace treaty signed and the fact that we do work together at times… that just makes logical sense at this point.

No he didn’t. He died trying to force the Horde to adopt Alliance ideals and become their vassals going forward.

lol there’s nothing wrong with keeping the factions, and just because you can group up doesn’t mean people will stop faction changing…I hardly have met a soul who faction changed due to grouping of any sort, they’d just level or boost a new character instead, faction barriers just make it more likely that people will quit overall
Good… I don’t want the factions to merge. Defeats the purpose of "War"craft.

I hate to break it to you, but story and immersion like this takes a back seat to gameplay. And PvP (including world PvP) is a part of the game that they apparently have no interest in getting rid of.
It’s not the devs’ fault that some people managed to convince themselves that a faction merger was going to happen despite the lack of any indication that it was even a possibility.

You guys, ugh…You ever get to the point wher eyou see this stuff, and you want to respond, you really do, but they just keep nagging everyone with assumptions and ignorance?
Lets be honest here, did you really think they were going to alter faction restrictions? Storywise we may not get another faction war, etc, bu tto change the faction restrictions. That’s a coding nightmare.

Saurfang died to prevent the horde from killing themselves. To undo his mistake in making this war happen and letting Sylvanas do whatever she wanted. He is both a martyr and a hypocrite depending on PoV’s. In the end it served what sylvanas wanted. Divide the alliance:) Soon tm
