I have enough pots for the rest of the expansion. With one swift retail stroke, Blizzard kills a profession.

If you tank or deal a dungeon, or after completing small quest chain or just certain quests, you get a Northrend Adventurers Bag and it usually contains 4-5 pots and same amount of random Elixirs. I’m 71 and without creating any Pots myself have over 20 mana and health pots and a plethora of random Elixirs. AH prices are vendor prices for these now.
Yep. As an Alchemist, I am quite literally worthless now.

A lot of damage has been done already. Classic devs just don’t have any foresight whatsoever.

Pretty much everything you get from the care packages is worthless - the only thing of any real value are mana pots.
No flasks, no potions of speed, no destruction potions. Alchemists will be fine.
I heard you get flasks from heroics. however I have not seen that myself.
can anyone confirm this?
Hey I need some elixirs of…. Hell I even have mage elixirs for selling myself!
Enough pota for 3 characters and I haven’t level them yet!
Ahhh the true retail experience. Oh wait….
Add in all the undead power stones for weapons and I have a free consumables week for Naxx!

I’ve gotten maybe 4 bags from tanking dungeons, I’ve gotten more than 2 dozen doing the quests in Howling Fjord. I have so many potions and elixirs I’ll have to create an alt just to store them
EZ solution would be to do like they did for the War Effort quest

poor non xmute alchys are not in a good spot.
On the other hand I do like getting to try so many free elixers 
they don’t even acknowledge the issue!

This is certainly one of the worst design decisions I’ve seen out of this team. “Hey guys, know what would be great?” “What if every other quest we give players like 3-4 potions and 3-4 elixirs and oh yea, a full stack of buff food.” Team: yeah give this guy a promotion. let’s fast track him! Alchemy = Kaput. AH flooded.
I just opened 3 quest boxes moments ago. Food and water. A scroll. Healing and mana potions. One box gave me two Huge Citrine, one gave me two Sun Crystals, and the third gave a single piece of Frostweave. No elixirs.
My friend got a single piece of Cobalt Ore in one, a single Borean Leather in another, and two pieces in a third.
Is this an improvement?
I liked the elixirs - there’s a finite number of quested boxes to be obtained per character leveled (with a personal trickle via tank-and-healer incentives) and it was a nice way to relieve some of the pressure to have 75+ flasks in the guild bank by October 6. In due time we would run through these elixirs faster than we are replenishing them through reward packages.
Looks it was hotfixed in the last few hours. Thank the lord.

Well even if they did the servers are flooded with elixirs already
