Ring upgrade this week?

especially since people don’t talk in the game. I asked in game with no one answering. Have to go on the forums just to find this info out.

Someone mentioned that on alts you can catch up to 1 upgrade behind your main, by getting drops off prettty much anything.

So if you can wait I assume you’ll be able to get alts to 1 level below max from random mobs, then do 1 quest to cap them.

That “fill one bar” is considered too confusing, or too much work, by a bunch of people in this thread, is just… yeah, I dunno what to say.

One of my alts got the upgrade of a mob but it is not guaranteed. The other alts didnt get the drops and just did the dailies and quest.

For once, I agree with you. It’s not troublesome, just honestly really sad and a bit pathetic.

You should be able to skip the campaign by talking to Brann

I did the isle on my Warrior without having to touch anything story related outside of Siren Isle since my Priest was the class I did the campaign with.

Yea awful design. My friend who missed last weeks ring upgraded didn’t have to redo his fill the bar quest in order to get the next upgrade quest unlocked. He only had to do it once for both. So why should I have to do it again??
Nothing states that doing the weekly quests is needed in order to get a new quest for upgrade.

Not confusing, it literally isn’t told in the game at all. So if they don’t see the quest on the map, they just log off.

The fact people are going “oh, you need to do the weekly quest” for the quest to show up is something that wasn’t done before

Oh trust, I know. I skipped the main campaign week 1. Buuut i started the lvl 80 campaign for an easy weapon. This was back in September.

Apparently once you start that, you can’t skip it.

Oh I see…

Lol yikes

Again, point to where in the game this is told to you. If it wasn’t for this post I wouldn’t have even known

I didn’t need anything to point me in a direction. I played the game for 5 minutes and figured it out.

It’s not rocket science.

Thing is, many of us skip the weekly because it isn’t needed. Hence why people just look now. I already did everything in the island and just go there for the ring upgrade. So I wouldn’t be doing the quests unless I see the world quest.

That is the part you’re ignoring. Got my goblin board, got electric bird and snapdragon mount. Now it is just the ring for me.

So unless shown i need to do the weekly, I won’t.

Now if it was the other way around, get quest and do weekly then I understand. But at no point does it show you need to do the weekly first just to get the quest.

“Unless my hand is held I won’t figure things out for myself.”

That sure is a choice.

I’m here looking this up. I did it on my main but I am not seeing the quest on multiple alts.

It is like that is what questing is about. You don’t do something then get a quest. That is backwards. You get a quest then do the thing

You call it hand holding. I call it basic game design.

Its not about hand holding, its communication. If you are giving catch up quests for alts with a simple quest and then next week its kind hidden behind wqs without saying anything. Thats inconsistency.

Bingo! Thank you. It is like the game is expecting for us to know beforehand. This is just catch-up island now for me.

If I don’t see the quest for upgrade ring, I just leave the island. It isn’t consistent

You are so correct. Not only is it not clear what the requirements are, but it’s also absolutely brutal I am going to have to do the fill the bar quests on a literal army of alts.

Yeah, I’m already dreading doing it on my shaman and this warlock. Did it on my goblin warrior first and…meh.
