Right Click Reporting is out of the beta. No official word yet

Believe it. Benign they were not.

A “mod” is gonna hide your posts…right… If you was “moderated”, you would know it. They don’t hide posts, they remove them completely or they just ban you account. Your “benign” posts was flagged by the community, plain and simple.

Tying the RCR to a temp ignore without the auto squelch would have the same benefit of not taking up a slot on an ignore list, woukd it not?

Yeah, definitely tin foil hat territory. A mod is gonna risk his job to “persecute” a single player.

Why would they set it at a large number that would likely be nothing more than a temp ignore-- which so many who’s intent is impose their own punishment in the form of a squelch, claim is ineffective?

The question is what is the number that “takes a solid group” to trigger the squelch, but is “low enough to address the issue”?

What would you consider to be such a number?

No, because the point is to prevent other people from having to deal with the vitriol being spewed by the squelched person. It’s a proactive system instead of reactive, and puts the onus on the problem child, not on everybody else to deal with the problem child.

But you know that already, because you’ve been to this dance before. Multiple times. You just don’t want to listen.

You can ignore them.

Pretty advanced stuff I know/

Even if they removed the squelch, people are still gonna whine when the GM applies a actual silence, and cry “it’s still automated”. Then we are back to square zero.

The point for some people is to impose their own brand of justice/punishment for any percieved slight (whether an violation was committed or not), in the form of a squelch and nothing less than the ability to do so will satisfy those people.

Note–I am not advocating that people be able to say anything that they want to say without repercussion. Thosevwho violate the TOS should be reported, IMO. I simply believe tgat ANY punishment, including a squelch, be left in Blizzards hands.

But you know all of that already because you’ve been to this dance before. Multiple times. You just don’t want to listen or acknowledge the truth.

If there is no squelch and ANY punishment is meted out only by a Blizzard GM after manual review and not by players or an automated system, they can whine all they want, IMO.

Dude, conspiracy theorist much? While I also wonder how your posts keep getting hidden so fast it is not cool blaming Falanna. Falanna and I agree on most things and we have untold numbers of “likes” to each other’s posts.

But we vehemently disagree on the RCR issue and have gone at each other like rabid dogs in past threads on this issue. Yet I have never had a post hidden or had any action against me.

I agree is weird that your posts got hidden so fast but you are assigning blame to someone who has NO history of being incapable of separating feelings from debate.

Naming and shaming not cool dude.

It’s actually kind of cute that he’s that obsessed, though.

Unless you say something that a few people don’t like.

“Some people” didn’t develop the system, Blizzard did, for the reason I described.

All punishments and preemptive measures are in Blizzard’s hands. You get squelched, it’s because Blizzard thought you needed to be squelched. You get silenced or banned, it’s because Blizzard thought you needed to be silenced or banned.

No player has the capacity to take those sorts of actions against another player.

By your own professed standards, “problem” solved, right?

There is zero truth in any of your posts, merely childish dissembling.

Would give some likes to some people, but I am out for a while. Given too many today. LOL

Well, the squelch is kinda automated. If a report threshold is met, it is automatically applied.

Hopefully they’re just getting it ready for the much needed report streamer option

A threshold set by Blizzard.

Yeah, it’s still dependent on the players, who make the reports.

That 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the time that anyone reaches that point, it was because of something that they did to cause that many people to feel the need to report them.
