Actually spamming the channel is a violation. It’s just not a violation to talk about other things in trade as an example. However, pretty sure if the other things are drowning out LFG or Trade in their respective channels actions are taken if reported.
Back in the day my server allowed barrens chat to be the hogwash channel. Excessive stupidity elsewhere got the server coming down on your head.
So, I have to permanently not have the trade chat channel because you have to act like a man-child?
Nice. I was not aware of any addons that where made to abuse the system, but know how people are I would not doubt someone made one and passed it around.

If you have a problem with GMs not reviewing things thouroughly, that’s not a problem with RCR it’s a problem with blizzards staff. And I’m not trying to defend them at all, GM’s should do their jobs,and but GMs not reviewing reports isn’t unique to rcr.
I’ve never seen credible evidence in general discussion or CS forums of someone getting banned for nothing. There’s at least a dozen threads on this and thousands and thousands of posts, and while I’m not saying the evidence doesn’t exist, I am saying I have looked and I haven’t seen it:
Asmon got a temp ban for trying to abuse the system by having hundreds of people report him for saying I love wow
Savix said he got rcr targeted in a battleground but it came out eventually it was a ban for win trading
There’s a video of three guys in voice chat trying to get disconnected for swearing, one of them drops an f-bomb in guild chat and disconnects two seconds later, it’s unclear who, if anyone, reports him or why he disconnects
There’s a video of a start of a PvP match where a single person reports a priest on the other team and then that priest disconnects. It’s not in english so I don’t know any more than that, but blizzard has specifically said it takes more than one report to trigger anything.
These are the most common 4 examples I see for abuse, and none of them are convincing. If you have other evidence please share.
Until I’m convinced that the system actually can be easily abused, i don’t mind being able to easily report people who think they cleverly hid a slur in their name.

They probably got few thousand frivolous reports and said… waste of time.
In game public chat channels are not there for your personal amusement. Or for you to entertain other players with jokes or rude comments.
How Blizzard goes about reviewing those reports should be up for debate but the reporting system is a must have.

The game launched with a reporting system. Right click reporting just makes it easier to do.

You have provided a link for the EU, but you have not yet provided anything to substantiate your claim that the auto squelch was in effect on the NA servers at that time.
Honest question, what do expect to happen from that? The answer for what will happen is most likely nothing, nothing at all.
And you haven’t provided me with any logical reason as to why Blizzard would have different features to complicate their CS operations between regions.
