Right Click Report - Not Going Away

I think you miss the point of an MMO. You are not entitled to make up an intentionally offensive character, then play it to the hilt, with no repercussions.

Why? Because you are intentionally attempting to offend people and have chosen to do so. Your actions in taking on that role are your actions. The character does not have a mind of its own, and you are choosing to portray the character in that offensive manner.

If you did this, you would deserve to be banned. Not because you believe what the character is spewing, but because you chose to make the character spew it.

I said final statement above but you just proved the point on why this feature can’t be allowed in game. You are completely wrong because no one should be banned for being hilarious and the fact that you think someone should be banned for being hilarious means you can’t handle a right click report feature. All because you don’t have a sense of humor. If you don’t like it then ignore it and let the rest of us laugh our a$$es off.

If someone makes a fat dwarf named Cartman and acts like Cartman in Southpark that is absolutely hilarious. I really hope someone runs with that idea because it’s things like this that make World of Warcraft a better place. Really good comedy and laughs, some really fun insults. Maybe I will make a character named Kyle and you can threaten me for my Gold :rofl:

Now I am done, time for work and we can close this discussion as solved. Right click reporting is bad for the game because no one should have the power to decide what is funny or not. What is right or wrong. There is a Ignore feature to censor people if you are sensitive or have a bad sense of humor.

I actually have a solution, Maybe if a character receives 100 Ignores then Blizzard should automatically investigate that character to see if he is violating anything. Can we compensate there? That way people can still be funny and have a good time without having right click report be abused and kill a game from being fun.

The fact that you think “spewing Jewish racial slurs” is hilarious, speaks more to your character than any reporting system.

That’s your opinion. Most people would disagree with you, but since you’re a troll you’re getting the response you want.

However, as a troll, you deserve to be squelched because that’s the appropriate response to a troll.

I don’t think that, I watch Southpark all the time and Cartman is hilarious. What he says is comedy and that is why it is on the Comedy central TV station.

Seriously lighten up and learn to take jokes.

No a lot of people love Southpark so a lot of people would agree that it is, indeed hilarious.

Not sure who is trolling? I really hope your difference of opinion now hasn’t led to thinking a different opinion is trolling?

Good day sir. Again this topic is closed thanks for proving why we can’t have this feature in game. To many hilarious things get reported. We just want to laugh. If you think it is terrible then you don’t get the joke and should ignore it.

I did type a compromise though:

And in the last 5 years or so, he’s moderated a lot of his rants. #JustSaying

A person who intentionally makes a “character” so that they can spew racial slurs, just to provoke a response… is a textbook troll.

Well truth is Blizz is adding RCR. no point opening posts about a system that is proven to work and deter spamming/abuse. If there were problems about how the software was setup I believe that the forums on General or high end guilds would have an issue. How can Method or high end arena streamers play the game if this was the case? How can the same guilds get world firsts? Are they hiring mass amounts of people to report their competition and not being caught and nobody from other guilds reporting this to blizzard? How can streamers not be almost automatically muted/banned every-time they try to login? It would be very silly to think blizz has some “DONT BAN ASMON he always says nice things about wow”…

Truth is the system works and some stupid content dry streamers/youtubers overreacted and made videos for clicks and people are falling for misinformation.

If you listen to the anti-streamer posters, its because the entire server that they pick will love them.

Why would you want to ban COnTENt CReAtoRs

How do you manage to make it through the day without clear regulations about how you should act in specific venues?

A tool that incentivizes cultural Marxism. This is a bad idea.

You do realise that these regulations do actually exist. They’re called laws and customs.

Pretty much the entire liberal argument in the US at the moment.

People you disagree with shouldn’t be allowed to speak.

Sums up what’s wrong with the world in a nutshell.

Do you mean like those people who choose to use /trade for things other than the buying or selling of goods or services, even if they are committing no actual violations?

Now you’re conflating ridiculousness.

Yelling Jewish racial slurs is not a “difference of opinion”.

Yes.
It .
Literally.
Is.

I’m going to step back from “racial slurs is a difference of opinion” and leave this one to the moderators…

Feel free to have the “final word”, you know you’ll need it.

Sure thing.

" Hate speech in the United States is not regulated. The U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly ruled that hate speech is legally protected free speech under the First Amendment."

I support free speech. Sue me.

Inc them getting the last word.

This is what they linked above before they noticed racial slurs aren’t disallowed under free speech. Crazy what happens when you actually read your own laws isn’t it?

Fine. I was looking for a better article discussing the difference between the United States of America, and a commercial entity.

Free speech is not protected in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM on a private server run by a private entity. You have no right to free speech on a Blizzard server, and they are well within their rights to expel you from it at any time, without cause.

You can jam a flag wherever you want, but it doesn’t protect you from Right Click Reporting.

From various videos I have watched, every time someone mass reports another, the person who was reported gets kicked from the server instantly. Maybe if 2 or 3 report someone it may squelch them, but if more than that reports them, they are kicked.
