Right Click Report - Not Going Away

I remember those posts…you are not entirely innocent.

No, according to law it is considered discrimination if you don’t use their preferred pronoun. I know your countries laws better than you do apparently.

I don’t think “law” means what you think it means.

That doesn’t achieve the same effect. The difference is many people RCR to get a squelch versus everyone having to manually ignore. Its about efficiency and saving a lot of time for players and staff.

Undoubtedly the system can be tweaked and It’s good for people to bring up problems with the system so it can be tweaked. But trying to deny its benefits isn’t going to help.

nah its not going away

You know what you garnered from watching Jordan Peterson’s viral video and didn’t bother to fact check yourself because you’re a follower.

Follow, don’t question. Just follow.

So you were all naively saying?

What’s the issue? GM’s silencing people who didn’t properly configure their addon to reduce the spam it’s sending out?

Oh no, how horrifying. I should also mention this addon automatically communicates for people. Isn’t that what the Classic community wants? For people to communicate and talk to people and not have some addon or system (LFG) do it automatically?

You are not going to to see the issue due to where your head is stuck.

An add on whose sole purpose is to HELP other players get rares.

Picture perfect proof of abuse of RCR.

Laughably deny it all you want. Your arguments now fall into the full fledged stupid category if you can’t see the problem.

Argue on. Nothing else needs to be said here. RCR is already being abused. It IS a problem and it IS being pointed out. It will be way worse in Classic.

Perhaps you should read (I know it’s a chore) the thread and comments on the addons.

I doubt you will but maybe just maybe you should.

Yeah, and oQueue is an addon that HELPS players find groups.

LFG does too.

Those players can use their fingers and type out that the rares are up.

This issue is laid to rest. You can choose to continue to shill but there is nothing left to discuss. Abuse is already happening and there is zero way to deny it. Shill on sir.

Your problem is with Blizzard’s rules. If you think the GMs shouldn’t silence people because their addons are spamming the chat (I’ve seen it, you haven’t) then make a thread suggesting a change to Blizzard’s rules.

If you heard me trash talking Blizzard to my guild tonight for discontinuing the Physical Authenticator from their store without even a peep about it, you’d change your mind about me being a “shill”.

LOL uh huh.

Yup! YUP YUP YUp! UH huUH!

And we’re still be RCR’d by the same people because they consider posting that in chat to be spam.

And the GMs would still uphold the squelches because apparently posting that content in General Chat is considered spam.

I’ve been manually typing out rares and their coordinates with no issue. Maybe you should heed the suggestions of people to change your addon settings to send out fewer messages.

Word has gotten out how easy it is to abuse RCR and now it is the new way of trolling.

Abuse it all you want. All this does is lose more subs EXACTLY like we said it would.

Wait until you post LFG in chat in Classic and get silenced for daring to say you need a group. LOL. This is going to get really bad.

Here’s the comment from the addon developer:

A) there was around 4 people total complaining about it. B) there’s still at least 1 of them who posted it.

And if you feel like you’ve personally deserved an apology then hereby: sorry. Obviously I didn’t mean for it to happen but since it’s posting messages in general chat somewhat repeatedly anyone who feels like it can report it. this is not only the case for my add-on this is a topic about other add-ons as well. I’ve already implemented anti spam measures and in the new update will disable the ondeath announcements by default.

He acknowledges the addon was spamming too much by default. Issue resolved, move along and stop fear-mongering.
