I have, admittedly, become a softer person over the years. Can’t explain why. It was probably a number of things. Writing that little story kind of brought back some memories and made me self-reflect a bit on who I used to be. But that kind of place wouldn’t be for me these days.
Would be interesting nonetheless to see the reaction if Blizzard one day announced a “no-holds-barred” server though.
Yeah I know what you mean. That’s why I think it would be nice if they catered for a broader range of people rather than just the pvp/pve/rp divide. People change over time and I can understand the concerns of a lot of people not wanting to have to deal with the perceived chaos that giving everyone free reign over their anonymous ramblings would create. I do think it would be cool if they made a couple of different levels of speech enforcement on different servers and let people decide what to choose so that everyone could be happy. I think a lot of people would be super happy if blizzard let it happen. Fat chance though. Oh well.
A specialized server will never happen but I would play on it if they did make one.
We will see those people on August 26th

Did you read the whole conversation in context, or did you just want to take a jab at someone who did do some bad things hundreds of years ago to try and distract from the fact that I think the first amendment is an exceptionally good thing and has paved the way for probably the freest societies in the history of the planet? Two things can be true at once, and making a sport out of reducing the deeds of men who I would wager were far greater than anybody in this thread to some of their behaviours viewed under the lens of 200+ years of hindsight and cultural change seems to me to be a virtue signal of mindblowingly idiotic proportions.

Well, it’s a modification of Raymond Blanc’s recipe. I always create the dish once as the recipe dictates and then modify it to my tastes from there on out.
What if the original was better, and it’s your tastes that are questionable? You wouldn’t have a problem if people still kept making the original recipe right? You wouldn’t be like “no, you’re all making it like this now, Raymond Blanc made an illegal tax deduction on a spatula one time”.

Maybe you got banned for trolling and spreading misinformation, you do that a lot.
Forum bans are not automatic, nor are in-game bans.
I got banned for pointing out that the people who want RCR are more interested in punishing those who don’t do things how they want than being better, and comparing them to Evangelicals who try to browbeat people into religion while never living up to that religion.
