Right Click Report - Not Going Away

You have the best alt name ever.

and the 2nd Amendment states
ā€œA well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.ā€

yet you canā€™t buy a tank, fighter jet, machine gun etcā€¦ in MA, NY and CA tehy have extremely strict restrictions on 2A but SCOTUS chooses to not take them up year after year. Those are certainly infringements. there are unconstitutional laws on the books at every layer and for every protection I just have no hope any courts will weed them all out.

bottom line is 1A arguments CAN AND DO affect public and private corporations not just government (In the USA at least). try to open a restaurant and post a no (protected class) allowed sign.

No, in your mind you think it does. In reality, it doesnā€™t.

Blizzard can ban you for whatever they want, whenever they want. You agree to this when you sign up to play the video game.

Blah blah blah 1st 'mendment FREEEEDOM. None of that has any bearing on anything on these forums or in the World of Warcraft.

No one is questioning blizzard. People donā€™t want that power given to random mobs of people who are not blizzard. Itā€™s easily abused.

My guild can report your guild leader and stop your raid instantly.

Or worse squelch rank 10 guy so he can never communicate to get to rank 11.

Oh no, whatever will my guild do while my guild leader is disconnected for 15 seconds. However, your guild may find it difficult to play the game while being banned.

And then you get banned for abusing the report system.

Man companies complicate things donā€™t they. Google making workers sign contracts not allowing them to speak out about sexual assault and other stuff.
Seeing how corporations are human now and supreme court ruled they have free speech, shouldnā€™t other laws affect them now?

Yes blizzard can ban you and do just about anything because you signed a contract.
The 1st amendment is important you shouldnā€™t mock it.

It is absolutely not important to me. What Iā€™m cooking for dinner is far more important.

They donā€™t ban for reporting, gg, you lost.

I contend that no, you donā€™t. As long as you do not stream your abuse of the system, NO ONE at blizzard ever reviews the situation.

No one can post the slightest shred of evidence that blizzard has ever punished any abuser, and the system has allegedly been in place for 12 years. Twelve years and not one single shred of evidence.

Whew, that was easy.

LOL you always resort to posting the PR speak yet never the slightest shred of evidence. All this time and weā€™re still waiting

you guys are confusing auto squelch (which does in fact happen automatically.) with silence or vice versa.

people have the problem with the auto squelch part of it more than anything else (which is simple to fix while still allowing rmt to get auto squelched with a new reporting option).

i will say if and i mean IF they actually punished for false reports (seems theres no evidence of this happening anywhere) it would still be unacceptable to have the power to mod in players hands.

Iā€™m not confusing anything.

I really wish I had made a clip on twitch of Ythisens saying they do in fact punish people for abusing the report system. You could just go ask him yourself. Thereā€™s also the thread I took 30 seconds to find that I linked with the OP admitting that his group of buddies were banned for abusing the system.
