Right Click Report - Not Going Away

You’re completely misrepresenting my argument. This whole thread has been about people being for or against RCR. I claim that people who are for RCR want to stop people from being heard by others, otherwise they could just ignore them. Why are you even commenting? Every time you post something in here it seems like some ridiculous attempt to bury the core discussion that people are having. You add literally nothing.

You’d be wrong.

I want RCR because I want to stop Gold Sellers in their tracks. I want less cheating in the game and RCR enables a quick and efficient way of reporting that otherwise wouldn’t be done because people are lazy.

You’re focusing on one aspect of this rule enforcement system and not thinking about the gameplay implications that its removal has. I’d say it’s because you’re highly political to the point that you’re applying those politics to a VIDEO GAME.

A lot of them have been. Feel free to reread the entire thread.

Ooh, forgot about that one. That’s another good reason to have RCR. Even in Retail I was having to use it quite a bit because the advertising spam on A52 Horde is ridiculous.

Read a good portion of it. I’m straight up telling you that not everyone who supports RCR is some authoritarian SJW.

What do you add by telling people they’re authoritarian for wanting RCR? Honestly, use that big brain of yours and think about what you’re adding to this forum.

Nothing, absolutely nothing of any value.

I said hundreds of posts ago that I think keeping RCR solely for gold spam would be fine, and everything else should be dealt with using the ignore function. So yeah, I think I have thought about it. Not my fault you haven’t read every post here. Maybe if you stopped burying the substance with your trivial comments you would have noticed it.

So you think someone telling others to kill themselves, or threatening to kill them themselves, should only be dealt with using ignore, and should not be reported?

I know. Again, I mentioned keeping RCR purely for gold sellers. Everything else can be dealt with using ignore.

Then you should be advocating for a change to the system instead of just blasting it.

He’s only here to troll, fresh account because he was likely permabanned on his other troll accounts.

Rules have been in the game since day 1, he agreed to play by those rules and out comes the “b-b-b-but authoritarians, authoritarians errywhere!”

Yes. We can have different opinions about what we want to see or not. I never say anthing like that, but I wouldn’t report anybody who said it to me, despite having had people in my family kill themselves. I have thick skin.

Yeah this is a fresh character that I haven’t touched since Black temple…

That’s…frankly a sick and callous thing to say I think. But don’t worry I’m not going to report you over it.

As Galdor said, there are rules you agree to when you log on, and folks are free to report you if you break those rules. And death threats/suicide suggestions are things that shouldn’t be taken lightly and should very much be reported. I would do it in a heartbeat. Not everyone has the same kind of skin you do, and I’m not going to tolerate those sort of people.

I have been… I said infinite ignore with timers etc… and RCR only for gold spammers. How many times do I have to say this?

Let’s get this straight. You don’t like Blizzard’s rules so you’re suggesting they remove the system they have in place to enforce them? Yeah, this suggestion will surely make it to the top brass and they’ll immeditely use executive powers to get it fixed straight away!

Your issue is with Blizzard’s rules. The same rules they’ve had in place since 2004.

Don’t use the “RCR wuzint in Vanilla!” excuse here. Your issue is with the rules as old as the game.

Even if RCR wasn’t in Classic, folks would be free to report through tickets. It’s slower and far less efficient, but it’s been an option since original Vanilla. Removing RCR would do nothing.

Death threats are against the law in probably every country that can log into the game.
Suicide suggestions. I dunno man I’ve been on the internet since the early/mid 90s. The way for people to get thicker skin is, unfortunately for those that don’t have it, by being exposed to things they find detestable. Honestly though this is at the extreme end of the scale on what you can be reported for. “Vulgar language” is one, which is a bit lame to be honest.

Been playing WoW for a long time. Been exposed to it plenty. It doesn’t mean I have to tolerate it. I am quite open with my use of ignore and of reporting when it’s appropriate.

As far as “vulgar language” goes, it is nevertheless a rule you agreed to when you hit “accept” and logged in. That said, I don’t nilly-willy throw out reports on that; I regularly curse among friends and closed circles. Maybe every so rarely often when the language isn’t in jest and is particularly vile and vicious, but that’s it.

I said very early on that in the thread that I think you should have to write a ticket to report, like in vanilla. Classic is all about taking your time, right? Yeah I know rcr is for their bottom line, but it’s not like they won’t be earning money.
