I can’t, and I also don’t see any evidence of people running rampant reporting people. When you actually dig into it and they post what they were actually silenced for how many really shouldn’t have been silenced?
True that. I don’t care for Asmongold, but I will not report someone who does, unless they are being really stupid. That post was clearly not something that should have been reported and was a good example of the possible abuse.
Oh I have no doubt that most of the complainers probably do deserve their squelch. I just find it overwhelmingly odd that there is zero evidence of blizzard punishing abusers.
It is extremely unreasonable to believe that no one abuses the system. How come no one has ever complained?
The system does appear to be fully automated with no human review.
I think this is a we’ll see in classic, I get that people might be more tempted to abuse it. I don’t think blizzard will do nothing though if we see what people are claiming will happen.
Asmongold streamed it and made it famous. Of course blizzard had to take action. That is not compelling evidence that the system is not fully automated though.
Meh, we’ll find out in a few weeks. I believe this will become a PR issue for blizzard simply due to the fact that being able to use chat in classic is far more important than in retail.
remove the auto squelch from rcr on all but a dropdown called “real money trading” or just “gold selling” and then punish all false reports the same exact punishment you wouldve given the person that was reported. even double that.
to do this though you would have to flag for gm to review anything that wouldve been an auto squelch in the old system.
and yes people false reporting should get harsh punishments.
