Sourcing the claims you make in a discussion is not some unreasonable burden. Especially in discussions where others are going through the trouble of providing links and citations for their claims.
Refusing to do so, while others do so willingly just makes you both look bad, and untrustworthy. People truly will just simply refuse to take you seriously, and rightfully so.

You claimed a simple search would provide the evidence… I did a simple search went through the first page of results and searched/skimmed the articles.
All relevent results on the first page only talked about Overwatch, and only talked about chat filtering not assigning punishments to offenders.
That does not help your case at all because it is completely irrelevant to the discussion.

Actually, from what happened with the “I love WoW streamer”, he got a three day ban for abusing the reporting system.
It would be nice if that is how it was conducted. And general logic was lead you to believe thats how it is handled because its the right thing to do.
The issue is that profit motive trumps all in this case and what you have happening is blizzard gms engaging in a cursory look to find something to substantiate the report. They do not want to incur the expense of doing thorough investigations. The individual is not worth the expense.
They also do not want to create any mistrust of the system. They want people to think it works fine.
I have yet to ever see anyone post that they had anything overturned ever. Not one time.
When they review these their intent is to find anything to substantiate and move on, and the TOS is written so that they can.

None of the right click is instant. None of it. They will be using the same system as kn live. Nothing in it is instant. Once reported, it usually takes blizz around 3 days of investigation to do anything and they said you an ingame tell explaining it
They also look at the person doing the report to see if they are abusing it.
