Very well said.

I cry over Rogue every day because of this mentality.

… Only difference is the mentality comes from within the Rogue community because people cant stand certain abilities.

Much as I hate to use the term given recency, I think the bigger issue with Rogue currently is that Blizzard doesn’t even have a concept of a plan of where they want to take the class as a whole, let alone its individual specs.

Assassination feels the most complete in terms of design and gameplay pacing. Outlaw feels good to play but has a lot going on under the hood. Subtlety hasn’t really felt great to me since Legion/BFA. The specs themselves have decent ideas and concepts, but they’re bound to a class that feels like it’s trying to satisfy something about all three specs and failing to do so.

We already know Blizzard can do spec-specific changes to class trees. Why hasn’t this happened for Rogue?

Buff single target please

Sorry for officially taking over the thread but

It feels complete but is still the most lacking spec in terms of energy management. This 0.1 patch had me dropping it entirely despite Sin finally being meta cause it feels so bad to play rotationally with the low energy regen (due to low haste and the fact that blizz dont care).

I dont care bout Outlaw but can confirm its issues just lie in design.

Sub was dead during BfA, but based on what i read, its current design is close to the Legion design.

Thats because the actual community disagrees with almost every change thats made to the spec or class. Theres no legitimate reason for Shadow Dance to have been removed from the class tree instead of building upon its addition and adding more valuable talents.

The Rogue issues are easy to fix. The Rogue community, however, is sadly stupid.

Its not needed. Capstones (at this point, Cold Blood and Thistle Tea) just need to be replaced, and Shadow Dance put back.

I don’t particularly disagree with anything you’ve said here, but it’s a shame that I’ve generally seen what you’ve said get thrown into Blizzard’s court since Alpha/Beta with little to no action taken on the problems Rogue still has and has had for a bit now.

It’s kinda sad. Love playing my Rogue, but it just feels off compared to other classes right now.

needs 20% single target buffs and aldrachi needs to be 3 souls, reavers glaive needs to deal magic damage not physical

Have you ever looked at dps rankings?

  1. Strictly touching ST without AoE being impacted can be problematic on some specs. Havoc getting a small ST increase would be nice, but a straight 20% increase to its current ST would immediately jump it to uncontested #1 in ST.
  1. It’s fine as physical, magical would not be a major fix to much. Three souls for activation would make cycling it faster but wouldn’t fix the core issues of Aldrachi Reaver as a tree.

Bruh, no matter what you think about balance of havoc DH, saying they are face roll is wild. Miles harder than most classes in the game, and you typing on one of the most brain dead classes is icing on the cake.

In no world has that ever been true. Sure, my comment was just to be fun, but don’t try to claim it’s a challenging class with their 7 buttons.

Havoc IS a challenging class because of how it behaves with momentum. Their opener is a 20 button opener, not 7. It’s a low ceiling, high floor class. It’s not the rotation that is the issue, it’s the movement along all of your damage comes from very short, long CD burst windows. If you do them wrong for any reason, at the wrong time, get interrupted, etc your DPS will plummet. I’d wager you wouldn’t even hit a green parse.

I would say that at this point Havoc definitely has a higher floor than a lot other melee specs, and probably higher than some/several of the casters.

Times change. This isn’t Legion.

Do you legitimately think the spec only has 7 buttons, or are you still trying to be funny about something?

Hes a warrior guys. They dont think.

Turthfully id wager Havoc is as hard if not harder than Sub rogue with how much in combat thought you need to put into the spec.

That’s my forum characters. I swap between feral Druid and windwalker monk.

Yup. Mindless spec for mindless players.

And you think saying this helps anybody how, exactly?

Do you even play Havoc? When’s the last time you played it to any meaningful extent?

Again:

Try replying to the rest of my post with something beyond drivel, please.

Ok. So shut up about DH idiot.

Wasn’t even talking to you.
