Likewise you haven’t provided a single source that lists the only open world gear that counts is Fyrakk assault.
This is PVE gear that falls under the Champion bracket. It should be turnable into tier, it very clearly worked last week. The only mistake involving last week’s Catalyst was the quest given a week early. Did the bug also happen to write the code to make the items eligible?
Also:
Q: What gear is not eligible for use in the Revival Catalyst?
A: Items that are not eligible for the Revival Catalyst include items gained from crafting and from the Renown track.**
Frankly, I couldn’t care less if it’s a bug or not (though everything suggest that it is). If I have a piece of gear that is Veteran or higher it should be eligible full stop. It’s already a huge imposition that crafted gear isn’t eligible. The whole purpose of this system is to make people’s lives easier not cause further annoyance.
No. It shouldn’t. Because it’s not about the ilevel. It’s about where it comes from.
No it shouldn’t, unless it’s an epic piece that came from the highest end game open world content. Last season that was Primal gear. This season that’s Suffused gear.
It really isn’t.
The entire purpose of the Catalyst is to be a catch up for those who were unlucky to get tier earlier. It’s not a “get the highest grade of gear from the lowest content in existence.”
But this is feedback that doesn’t belong in bug reports.
Not anymore. That changed when the ranking system was incorporated.
This is a childish back and forth that I will not be part of. If you cannot understand that someone being unhappy with how something works is feedback and not a bug… then I don’t know what to tell you. Have a nice day.
I provided sources and cited how something worked for weeks both in PTR and on live. I cited how it worked in the previous season (which you argued that the precedent from previous season did not change, which you later backflipped when confronted with this)
It’s a bug. Provide a bluepost that says specifically that not all non-crafted/Renown tracker PVE content is eligible, or shut up and leave.
And the ranking system works so specific brackets come from specific content difficulty. You will not get Hero bracket from TW weeklies, you will get Champion. Nor you will get Veteran from your next week Vault after doing 4 +15 M dungeons. You will get Hero.
Again, I couldn’t care less how you feel about it, this is a bug report not a discussion. Until I know otherwise I will continue to believe this is a bug and if/when they say otherwise I will proceed to call it an awful decision. You’re welcome to keep bumping this thread though. I appreciate it.
Edit: Sorry, I didn’t mean to reply to you but Sendryn. I am on my phone and my finger must have slipped, lol.
Greetings fellow WoW players I used the Revival Catalyst last night on a conquest PvP piece and didn’t unlock any Normal Aberrus pieces. What did I do wrong? I read it has to be a certain level or something, hoping I find answer to this as I do want the Aberrus set on my Priest and have no time for raiding at the moment. Thanks and hope you all have happy hunting!
Sunless Spaulders drop in Aberrus. They are Champion level gear, but I cannot transform them. I find it hard to believe that they shouldn’t be able to be transformed. As usual, I waited 4 days for a reply from Blizzard and they told me to check the forums. I now have another ticket in with them. When this happened in SL and last season, they eventually sent me a new version of what I had gotten (while removing the old version from my inventory). I’d be very surprised if this isn’t a bug.
So I finally heard back from a GM after putting in a ticket at the same time I made this post and he confirmed that this was indeed a bug, they know about it, and are working on a fix with no ETA yet. Who knows if that’s true or not but I don’t care anymore because I got the last piece I was missing so it’s moot for me.
I’ve since encountered a new bug. Apparently some Suffused items also aren’t eligible to be upgraded at the catalyst. I tried to upgrade a pair of pants to compete the LFR transmog set but it wouldn’t let me ostensibly because I got them as a quest reward rather than a drop. It seems they’re is a much deeper rooted bug that prevents some items that aren’t a direct drop to be used at the catalyst. At this point I doubt it will ever get fixed, certainly not in the near future. Smol indie company strikes again.
I did. Suffused cloth pants from one of the weekly Suffusion camp quests. You know, the only place you can get them…
At any rate it doesn’t matter. They’ve clearly demonstrated that they don’t care enough to make sure the catalyst works with items that don’t come from the raid or M+. The purpose of this post is more to highlight their incompetence than some misguided hope that they’ll fix anything.
