I went to the revival catalyst and tried changing my boots to the set pieces boots and it gave me a piece without a set bonus on them? Did I just waste my coin? Can I get this refunded? I already have been screwed over for a month by not getting set pieces from vaults on any of my healers.
This is extremely disheartening.
Pretty sure gms would be hands off on this.

Pretty disgusting that it literally says that it gives set pieces and it gave me a non set piece. I’m really angry about this. Literally a month of getting screwed on rng now im even further behind.
Boots don’t contribute to set bonus, only head, shoulder, chest, gloves, and pants. I’m fairly confident you wouldn’t be able to get a refund, especially considering this info is displayed in the catalyst window.

Guess I’m stupid for assuming that boots are apart of the legs.
Sorry, Pawbed, generally for things that have confirmations Support is usually unable to help. The Revival Catalyst provides a warning and a preview of what you will receive, so our staff is hands off there.
Definitely not stupid, but may just have missed some details. Sorry, Pawbed.

It’s ok. I unsubbed. 5 weeks of being screwed over is enough me.
Well, I wish you well in wherever your gaming takes you.

Just as a general statement, if you hover over the new item, it will bring up the tooltip that clearly shows it doesn’t contribute to set bonus.
Technically all items would be tier since it completes that set, just doesn’t count towards that specific sets bonus.

Even this will not get them to refund it. I’m sorry it sounds harsh, but it says not feet, and you ge to see what it will give you BEFORE you click transform.
It sucks, we have all been there for different things, but you failed to read and failed to mouseover.
If you go to mcdonalds and order a big mac, they give you a big mac, do you then demand a refund because it isnt an egg mcmuffin?
From The Revival Catalyst is Coming Next Week
Tier set pieces which contribute to the tier set bonus will be granted for chests, gloves, legs, helms, and shoulders. Tier set appearance pieces which do not contribute to the tier set bonus will be granted for belts, boots, bracers, and cloaks.

it gives a ‘set’ piece so basically a tmog set. The only items that have actual tier set bonus are the core pieces that show on the tier sets (Helm, chest, shoulder, legs and gloves)
People still want to be able to use the catalyst to get that tmog or reset the stats on off tier pieces tho. Unfortunately thats not something Blizz is going to refund.
