The classic classic realms have been launched. We can safely say that all the ‘no changes’, ‘anti-gdkp’, ‘vanilla purists’, ‘anti-boosting’ players or as I like to call them, gameplay terrorists, are all now gone. It’s time to revert the anti-boosting, anti-dungeon farming changes in both the reduced experience and strange mob behavior. Limiting what players can do with their characters is reducing the already limited gameplay that wow has and is in opposition to player freedom. Gameplay terrorists don’t want pugs running (no gdkps) and want to limit character freedom (removing boosting / dungeon farming). Now, I won’t speak on how I think how popular pugs will be in classic classic but that’s not for this discussion. It’s time to revert the anti-boosting / anti-dungeon farming changes.
I just hate knowing if I don’t stop to kill that mob that agroed now it’s going to turn into a big stun fest instead of a single swing later.
While the changes can be annoying, they weren’t added because of nochanges or anything like that.
They were added to fight bots. If they were reverted, bots would go back to dungeon farming spam. They still are serving their purpose as an anti-botting measure.
Removing the anti-social purchased boosts is just a side bonus.
how does this actually work? If you dont kill things in a timely manner they just start stunning you?
They need to combat bots in a fashion that doesnt inhibit the player experience…
Lmao bots are still farming instances. Go check Naxxramas on any server and you’ll see a bunch of Paladins and Death Knights with gibberish names inside.
And guess what? Those mobs are green for a level 85 so the anti-boosting garbotrash doesn’t even affect them.
It should be removed already since all it does is make the player’s experience worse.
Yes. If a trash mob is in combat for 1 minute, that mob will start stunning fairly often.
Another issue here is the work around is pull less. which really jsut slows down the farming gold, but its there.
See this wow has the same issue I had with retail. we get crappy pay raises. Why in retail I also legacy gold farmed. You murder prior expac mobs in bulk. You get your gold in volume.
so even I in cata will see how much I make in legacy runs and go for the work I put in…I make more than than killing proper level 85+ mobs, for the time I put in.
Legacy farm for 30 minutes make say 300 gold. Proper 85 play and make 200 gold for the same 30 minutes. Winner…legacy. NUmerbs for example, I made them up.
The take away is whatever makes the extra 100 gold for that 30 minutes will be run.
also a gold saver. I could pay player x 5K for mog I want. Or…I could run this enough I make 5K and get the mog. I get the mog and I get that 5k gold.
Retail fixes this later. Scaling with ilevel squish. Retail killed this overnight in the SL prepatch. as my/our massive gold farm in solo spam WoD raids lost loads of money once the new ilevel cutoffs hit.
Retail has vendor price off ilevel. Make the ilevel go to crap like the SL prepatch did, vendors pay less.
Now if I say…put in scaling to old wow, I know how loved that idea would be. Not at all is the answer I know.
A new feature they put in to stop people from doing massive pulls in dungeons now. Another lie by Blizzard of them claiming they would not make any more changes and yet here they make another one… then another one. How long till we have WoW tokens in HC WoW?
That is not about botting. Bots can get around that. Bots don’t get bored or frustrated like we do so a bot would not stop just because of those stuns. Blizzard could upgrade their Warden algorithms if this really was only about stopping bots.
